"We have been coming to Lancaster several times a year for many years, always staying at the same place but recently it changed hands and went downhill so we were in search of a new place. The Weathervane filled the bill. It's a older type motel that you park right in front of your room, which we like. The room was very clean and well maintained. We had comfortable beds and pillows with clean, crisp linens. The room had a small table with chairs, a desk with a chair, frig and microwave. Really very comfortable. If I was going to find any fault it was the lock on the door. It has an old fashion key on a fob which would be ok but the first day we were there we didn't realize that when you go out and shut the door you must manually lock the dead bolt. We left the room and didn't realize we were leaving it unlocked. Luckily nothing was missing when we returned and from then on we locked it from the outside every time we left. They really need a better system. The owners were very friendly and the breakfast area was very clean and neat. Breakfast was what I would call a cold breakfast. Cereal, toast, bagels, instant oatmeal, fruit. Coffee, milk and juice to drink. Plenty for us, especially when you will enjoying lots of food as you tour Lancaster... We will stay here again for sure. The price was great and our most important concern is always if its clean and is the bed comfortable. It met both of those requirments."

"We didn’t like the fact that when we went into our room, there were no blankets. We had to go down to the desk to get them. That should be automatically in the rooms."
