“if you gotta go to wilkes barre, its a nice hotel to stay at”

the room was really clean and nice. bed was very comfortable and there was a refrigerator and microwave. no complaints.

“What I expected”

This place is just what we expected, comfortable, clean and staff very friendly and willing to offer assistance. Don't believe the bad reviews posted, they have to be the execption rather than the rule. It suited our needs very nicely.

“Perfect setting for our family reunion”

My family met at this hotel from 5 different cities because my Father lives in the area. We were able to meet and hang out under the brand new awning overlooking the pool which was awesome. On the only day it was nice enough to swim, we were all poolside, in and out of the shade as thay have strategically placed trees over park type benches and tables and chairs. Rather than lounge chairs they have queen sized beds to lay on which really came in handy when my little boys fell asleep. Free parking, free breakfast (don't forget to spray the waffle maker!) All you can eat lunch buffet for around $8. Clean rooms, plenty of towels available, free shuttle to the Mohegan Sun Casino (only on weekends), DVD in room, and friendly staff...for the most part. The only glaring problem is the surrounding area which can be shady at best. Bus depot down the block, City Hall across the street, total downtown city setting. Bustling during the day, desolate and shady at night. There are, however, really great places to eat and shop just 2 blocks away. We wandered around found Dunkin Donuts, Barnes and Noble, a Multi-plex Movie theater, and a really great pizza joint whose name escapes me but it was pretty darn good and inexspensive...and that's coming from a pizza snob from Brooklyn, NY. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel as the pros greatly outweigh the cons....just try not to be alone walking past the bus depot after midnight....unless, of course, that's your kinda thing! “Not impressed”

The room was very small. Was not informed about DVD player in room,Time of breakfast ended,or that it was an older Hotel. Also the air conditioner did not cool the room very good.

Was very close to everything. Staff was very helpful! Very quit and relaxing!

“Best Western Genetti”

It was a good hotel. We loved having the pool for your young son. We had a couple issues. Our room had no fridge the first time we stayed but it did on the way back. They were renovating but it didn't affect us. There was some dark water in the ice bucket on our first stay. The neighborhood is a little to too urban for us. But those are small issues. Overall it was a great value. The blankets and comforter are soft. They have a free dvd player in the room. My wife loved how comfy the beds were. The breakfast buffet was good and included in the hotel stay. It was a great value.

“Good Experience”

It was a good deal, Good area, close to everything. Hotel was clean, service was good. Service desk staff were helpful. Beds were comfortable. We'll go again if travel there, again. Wish had arrived earlier at night to check out the Oyster Bar and their restaurant's Sushi! Hopefully next time.
