Estamos a 15 minutos caminando del mercado publico, donde se toman los buses al paque tayrona y a Minca. Y estamos a unas cuadras del parque de los novios, restaurantes y discotecas. The plunge pool is delicious on a hot day! Staff there are really kind. It’s a short walk to the bus station and to restaurants. Loved it.

The building is very quaint and beautiful inside, with rooms around a courtyard with a pool. They have a lovely rooftop seating area as well. The staff are very kind. We stayed three separate times while doing other travel around Santa Marta and they held our bags with no issues. The location is very convenient and walkable to the historic downtown; with that convenience you get noise - especially party noise on weekends from local rooftop bars pumping music. If you can use ear plugs or sleep through noise, this is a perfect choice to stay. If quiet is critical for you, you may want to pick a location further out of the Center.

I would give our stay at Casa Verde 10 stars if I could. We arrived at 10AM, and they got the room ready for us right away and let us check in early after a long day of travel. They also served us breakfast before the formal time we were leaving early for Tayrona Park. The room was clean, spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and there was Air Conditioning. The staff were very friendly. We would recommend this hotel to everyone

Good but some issues
The staff is very good. Rooms are small but very clean and nice. Rooms vary - eg ours was a loft and with a steep staircase - not what we would have chosen. Also the AC wasn’t working in one of our rooms and this was never addressed

Beautiful, quiet spot!
This was a last minute reservation and I’m so glad I went for it. It’s a small and tucked away hotel with very simple yet beautiful premises. Hotel attendants were very kind and helpful. Parking was the only downside as we had to leave our car in a lot that was four blocks away from the hotel. I also wish the rooftop terrace was better conditioned to hang out or have breakfast. There aren’t any common areas besides the breakfast tables to sit around.

Another hotel with an extremely hard mattress (we had spent the two previous nights already on a hard mattress elsewhere), so not much sleep unfortunately. The breakfast is of average quality and served next to the minuscule swimming pool. If you prefer to stay in the town centre of Santa Marta this is a reasonable choice. The staff are friendly and helpful. If you have mobility issues then you should request a room on the ground floor as there are some flights of steep stairs to the upper floors (although you would still have to climb the doorstep from the street to the lobby).

Excellent, quiet hotel with great staff
We stayed at Casa Verde for 5 nights and felt completely at home. The hotel’s high reviews are well deserved, the staff very helpful and friendly and the breakfast a great start to the day. It’s situated on a quiet street but around the corner from all the bars and restaurants in the Centro Histórico. It’s te perfecta place to relax after sight seeing or being at the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice Boutique Hotel
Nice Boutique Hotel. Rooms a bit small and we had a lot of mosquitoes in the room, which is probably typical for this area. Staff were excellent.

Beautiful property, amazing staff: Ana and Josefa where so special. Our frotn desk manager was knowledgeable and cordial! They helped us with everything we needed! The owner Juan was a wealth of knowledge and we enjoyed very mucch learning from him.

Great to have staff who could speak English when my Spanish was inadequate! They were kind enough to lend me a pair of trekking poles someone had left behind since I couldn't bring mine in carry-on luggage. Offers three breakfast menus.

Good place in the old town, near the beach
Santa Marta is certainly not comparable to Cartagena but Casa Verde makes up for this. The place is simple but typical and so welcoming .The Boss, Juan, is charming and very most helpful. The staff are well-training but could do with some more knowledge of English ! like in many other places in the country.

Comfortable, friendly staff, central location
Santa Marta isn't a destination in itself (however, there are a few wonderful restaurants and bars to visit) but a home base for exploring the surrounding areas. That being said, the staff are very friendly and will help you set up most accommodations and recommend activities. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and substantial, complete with eggs, toast, local corn foods (ex arepas), juice, fruit, and exquisite coffee. There is also a small pool for a much needed cool down after a walk or expedition. The rooms are simple and very comfortable complete with a private bathroom and shower, TV (though not utilized much), and air conditioning. I would highly recommend Casa Verde!

Above and beyond service
Casa Verde Hotel was a stopover in Santa Marta on our way up to Palomino. At the time of check in, we had no transportation arrangements to get to or from Palomino or even a place to stay. Sol, the Casa Verde manager/front desk, was the most helpful hospitality professional I have ever encountered. She telephoned one of her two trusted taxi drivers, Javier, and made arrangements for him to drive us to Palomino the next day AND PICK US UP two days later! She said we could call her anytime and she would help us with transportation back to Cartegena, and she did. She arranged for us to return to her hotel to wait (and watch our bags while we ate another delicious lunch at Ouzo) for a minishuttle to bring us back to Cartegena. She made all the phone calls to arrange our transport. Her dining recommendations were also amazing, (Caffe Lunatico) in Cartegena and Ouzo in Santa Marta. She also made calls to hotels in Palomino for us. Her hotel is a small gem. We had a duplex which had a queen bed in a loft and a single. The room and bathroom were newly renovated. There is a small courtyard pool with a hammock, chairs and couches and a kitchen we were allowed access to. Breakfast was delicious. Walking around the town plaza in the evening was also magical. I highly recommend staying there and having Sol as a resource. She is an angel!!!!

Fine for anot so long stay
We only stayed one short night because we left the next day early in the morning. The staff was nice and serviceable. The room was a duplexwith a double bed on the second floor and a twin on the first. The bathroom was clean but they didn't offer shampoo, just liquid soap. The lock of the door wasn't really working so even if you locked the door, you could still open the room without the key. It is locatedin the city center and as any city center it is busy during the day. At night, there are a lot of nice little restaurants just a few blocks away, since it is very close to "parque de los novios".

The hotel is ok if you can't find anywhere else, but lacks certain things that you often expect... like shower heads and hot water. Also, the rooms are quite musty and there is very little security. For the price, you can do better.

Loved this hotel - had an amazing experience!
Staff were super friendly and helpful and the hotel felt like i was at home in a new place. Really enjoyed every minute at the hotel - location is perfect and every morning the breakfast they prepared was better than any other hotel we stayed in during our trip. Absolutely would stay there again!!!!

Lovely hospitable boutique hotel
We loved our stay at casa verde! It's a very lovely boutique hotel nestled in Santa Marta, not easily spottable. The staff was friendly and available 24/7. The breakfast was good, nothing crazy. Plus the location is close to a great plaza for food, drinks and night life. The room was very clean and comfortable, and they have hot water, always a plus. I think location and hospitality make this place a great choice
