Lovely hotel fantastic decor. Room was very large, super comfortable bed and a balcony with two chairs. The bathroom was enormous with a balcony. Staff was very friendly helpful and polite. Dinner was good and interesting choice of meals. The drinks were slightly expensive but considering the good price of the room with breakfast included and dinner That’s was fine. We will definitely stay here again and would recommend this lovely hotel. We would rate it a 10/10 😀

Depressing!
Depressing Room, uncomfortable small bed. Only one light in room. No chairs. Filthy small balcony. Restaurant really overpriced very average food and wine.

Santa Elena stop-over
A convenient stop-over between Bilbao and the Costa del Sol. Good, clean facilities; with a reasonable restaurant serving local dishes. Convenient parking (free).

Lovely location for a stopover
Brilliant location - restaurant, terrace and some rooms have a fantastic view over the Despenaperros valley. A good stop over for anyone driving between Madrid and Andaluia. And a good base for walking. Good sized room and good Spanish breakfast. Friendly staff. Only disappointment is that the bar is a bit expensive and doesn't offer tapas and the range of food is limited. And St Elena offers few other watering holes, We travelled outside the hunting season and found the stay excellent value. Might be more in demand during the hunting season.

Not the best. But okay.
I liked the place. But it wasn't that special. But for the price it was good. We had been travelling through Spain from France and this was just an overnight stop. So it was okay for that. I won't be going back in a hurry though. The bathroom smelled awful. I think the bar prices and restaurant prices were expensive compared to the other hotels we have stayed in. The food. Well, it must of been us. Because it was packed with locals. We had the deer with freezing cold potato puree. The meat was just slightly warm. Maybe that is the way the locals like it. But it wasn't for us. The staff were very nice.

Cheap hotel situated perfectly for a 1-night stay
We stopped here during our road trip from Barcelona to Motril in the south of Spain. It was perfectly located between Almagro and the Sierra de Cazorla. We arrived late in the evening and the check-in was fast. The staff is friendly. The room included breakfast which we think makes this hotel good value for money. The parking facilities are right in front of the hotel which makes this hotel great for a one-night stop.

Perfect and convenient
nice, clean rooms and very hospitable staff. Would definitely stay here again. Perfect location off highway if needing a night's rest. Top of hill with views from restaurant.

Fantastic restaurant
The restaurant of the hotel is fantastic. The menu specialises in hunting plates like deer and pheasant and the view from the terrace is breathtaking.

Séjour très agréable dans cet hôtel familial situant à la sortie de l'autoroute. Chambre bien insonorisée malgré l'autoroute qui est à côté. Les parkings gratuits nombreux situant sur les côtés de la route de l'hôtel

Hotel em Santa Elena
Hotel simples. Instalações antigas, porém bem conservadas. Quarto confortável. Café da manhã foi o ponto fraco. Servido no bar do hotel, se resumiu a duas fatias de pão torrado, um sachê de molho de tomate e uma xícara de café. Realmente o café da manhã foi decepcionante.

Estuvimos en otra ocasión y repetimos porque nos encantó la estancia y el restaurante. Pero nos tocó una familia un poco ruidosa (sobretodo el niño en la hora de la siesta) y tuvimos que aguantar gritos y golpes sin poder descansar. Por lo demás, todo bien. Destacar la carta del restaurante en la que tú mismo puedes hacer el pedido, es rápido y fácil. En cualquier momento, añades lo que necesites en la mesa y les llega el pedido en el mismo instante

En nuestro caso fue una opción de paso para dejar Baeza y entrar en la provincia de Ciudad Real. No nos alojamos para visitar Despeñaperros. El hotel en sí es anticuado, aunque tampoco es que estuviéramos mal ni que estuviera sucio ni nada por el estilo. La habitación es como visitar a tu abuela la del pueblo. No es vintage, está anticuado, y más que anticuado diría que está viejo. La cama no fue incómoda. Tiene aire acondicionado pero no recuerdo si tiene nevera -creo que no-. El personal normal, ni bien ni mal. Cenamos en el restaurante. No es barato (tampoco caro) pero se come bien y el personal del restaurante fue más majo. El desayuno consiste en una bebida caliente, una pieza de bollería y un zumo de naranja. El camarero del desayuno no fue nada agradable ni simpático. En general no repetiría.
