Had really bas sleeping by staying at this place. No curtains so light got in the room every early morning. Also no AC and San Miguel is a warm place.

The room was spacious and bed comfortable but the bathroom needed a bit of repair. Shower was pretty bad. View from ground floor room was also bad, but the rooms on higher floors had good views. Be aware that it has steep steps and no lift if you have large bags. Our room wasn’t serviced over the 3 nights. Generally service was average. The main plus of this hotel is location. Right in the heart of town (again, if you have large bags be aware you have to walk a short distance as cars cannot drive up to the hotel).

We had a great stay at Selina. It’s an older property right in the heart of historic down town next to the main church the Parroquia and El Jardín ( Central Park). It’s not fancy, but we had everything we needed. There are some negative reviews here, but our stay was very pleasant. The room was a good size, clean, with a high ceiling, a cute little balcony facing the cathedral, large closet, desk, and a fan. The bed was comfy, housekeeping was on point, we always had fresh, clean linens, towels, and bottled water! Shower had a good water pressure and hot water, no problems with the bathroom. We had a small service dog with us and it was fine. The hotel has a rooftop bar with a nice view, good drinks and food, and they greet you with a free welcome cocktail! Downstairs in the courtyard is a small coffee shop and you can get snacks there. Overall, location was making up for everything! You don’t need a car because you can walk to everything, and if you need to go somewhere out of town, Uber is very cheap! We would def stay there again!

If you get lucky and get the balcony rooms you get to open up the doors to the balcony and let the fresh air in. These rooms have no AC. Rooms are hot,humid,stagnant no air circulation. There are these rooms that are the “basement rooms” now I know why they call them that form other reviews. Those are 4 concrete walls no windows. There plumbing is not the greatest and so all the sewage smell surrounds you. The shower heads are terrible they spray water everywhere but your body! I don’t think it’s too expensive to change them out. Bathrooms need much much upgrading as their ventilation for the rooms and an exhaust for the sewage smell. The Hotel itself is good the lobby, foyer it’s open in the middle so pretty. Even the rooftop is nice. But because of the rooms I will not be going back to it.

The Selina Hotel is the perfect central location. The hotel and rooftop are gorgeous -- beautiful rooms, courtyard, terrace and delicious food and drinks. We received a complementary welcome drink on arrival which was very nice. When I asked the front desk about valet, I was told they don't offer that service and she directed me to a parking lot on a close by street. That parking lot cost ~$100/day to park -- WAY too expensive. When we went back to the front desk and asked about this again, she said they do have a guy who can meet us to park the car and return it when needed for ~MX$800 for the weekend (much better). I wondered why this wasn't shared as an option upfront. My only other qualms are that the shower did not work well - we were told to let it run for 15 min to get hot water, a waste of water and it didn't get that hot. Also the showerhead needed to be replaced or have a deep clean because it was spraying in every direction. The toilet was not flushing well and discovered I had to turn the water on to flush properly until it stopped working again... Lastly, the pillows were packed so tight, our necks were sore after the first night. We then discovered you could unfluff them a bit for a flatter more comfortable sleeping pillow. It's an old building, so somethings are to be expected with plumbing but for such a nice hotel, these are small easy fixes with the shower, toilet, and pillows. P.S. our room had a fan and wall AC unit

The hotel was immaculately clean with staff constantly maintaining the rooms and surrounding areas. The rooftop views were precious and provided the best view of the city. The food was delicious and the staff were very attentive.

I’ve stayed at other Selinas and this one is very low quality compared to the others. The staff that received us was rude and unwilling to help us. The room wasn’t very clean.

Stayed in the Deluxe room, which is specious, but very dark (no windows). Most rooms have no windows and therefore very dark. Style is minimalistic so it's not cozy dark. Bathroom and shower had a humidity smell with a hint of sewage. The hotel has a nice rooftop and perfect location, but i don't think I would stay here again.

The location it is great, the room was spacious and clean. The staff not too friendly. The hotel needs repairs. The view is great. But the most dissatisfied me is that the room was super, super hot, no A/C Also, no parking near the property and price to park to an independent parking lot was $450 pesos per night. Too loud, the room I have was next to the rooftop and the door faces to an area where the waiters from the rooftop bar passes through, felt no privacy

The hotel is very pretty rooms also, but being so close to everything make it a bit noisy, specially in the mornings, 7-8am always music from other places. But extremely convenient location to walk around.

Esta muy bonito y más la terraza y bar solo si recomiendo que las habitaciones que están en primer piso por Lavanderia retiren del paso todos los botes de basura que tiene hay al paso así como Lavanderia reubicada, ya que cuando vas a habitación como 051 pareciera que vas a un cuarto de servicio por todo lo que tiene a tu paso como los botes de basura y Lavanderia y un poco de más luz en habitaciones le caería muy bien . Todo lo demás excelente por eso es importante retiren y ubiquen lo citado para no darle mala imagen recordando que la primer imagine no se olvida.

The property is in a great location that is why we picked it but the staff was not helpful at all we were given the wrong room and they had given our room to a different couple and had us switch. This place ask you to call 20 min before for valet parking but they never answer. My room had broken windows and very poor water pressure was hard to even flush the toilet

We took a mini-vacay from our vacay and stayed one night at this hotel. The room was very small but we didn't mind as my husband and I only went to sleep and shower. The impression of the hotel itself was very beautiful as the courtyard was adorned with hanging plants and common spaces for relaxing. From the terrace and restaurant, you had a picturesque 360 view. You could see the cathedrals surrounding the area and all the colorful buildings. It was conveniently located around many shops, restaurants, and the plaza. The staff was pleasant.

Room was on third floor, many steps up. I asked for another room, I was told they were sold out.Not true, many rooms were empty. The lamps on both night tables did not work. And on the third day, the toilet did not flush. Very disappointed with these accommodations. Staff at the reception, day or evening, spoke very little English. Hard to be understood.

Well located but could use some updating.j
The unit was okay. It needed a facelift and linens replaced.The staff especially Pedro were extremely pleasant and helpful. The pictures on hotels.com were probably old. To get to the lovely roof top patio it was a crazy climb through the cleaning staff’s area and up steep stairs. Parking cost a lot and it took anywhere from 15 to 60 minutes to get our car picked up or delivered. The location was really great.

The hotel location was great, but the restroom did not have a window. Minimal furniture. Small sink. Bed was okay. The location was great and has a rooftop restaurant that you can see a wonderful view from the city. (Probably the best around there)
