The Los Gatos Lodge

Posted 14-May-2015
Pros: My 1 night stay was great. Their built like studios, minus the kitchenette. Has a fridge & microwave. Its a little bit of a throwback to the 80's, as far a deco. Clean. Nice TV. Parking was easy. You get your own balcony. Resturant & Bar on site. Breakfast was great!! Cons: Wish I could stayed longer to enjoy more of the amenities. :( Happy Travels!!!

Needs work

Posted 04-May-2015
Pros: Convenient to downtown Los Gatos.
Location: Great food and shopping in downtown Los Gatos.
Room had no chain for the door, was not sound proof from room to room, and the air conditioner was extremely loud and was just an old window mount air conditioner but it did blow cold. However, the bedding was clean as was the bathroom and there was plenty of hot water. We were in building two and outside were lots of trucks and a repository of old furniture and other items that made it look like a junkyard and thus made us feel it was an unsafe area. Requested a wake-up call but never got it.

Building and room a bit worn and tattered; unfriendly staff; wheelchair accessibility marginal.

In serious need of renovations

Posted 28-Apr-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Everything
Location: Los Gatos is a beautiful, charming, area. Lots of great shops, cafe's and restaurants nearby, and a short drive to Santa Cruz, Capitola, San Jose, et
When we drove into the property there were orange cones and yellow tape in several area's where they'd dug into the ground. There was furniture and bulldozers scattered around the edge of the property. The suite we stayed in had peeling wallpaper, broken window screens, and the. worst. shower. ever. This property was NOTHING like the garden like sanctuary advertised. The Bates Motel (with a strong lock on the door) would have been preferable.

Great for families

Posted 23-Apr-2015
Pros: Location, pool, grounds
Cons: They already are working on the rooms an updating
Location: lots of walking around
We came here after staying in San Jose for a few days, loved the location right off the freeway but you don't feel like you are, there's no noise. Great place for families of all ages. We had a lower room and it was great just walking out our back patio to the pool. Will be back again!

leisure

Pros: You get what you paid for.
Cons: Let people bring morning compliment food to their room. If one can not get up early
Did not have a good experience. The compliment morning breakfast was great until one of the staff told me I can't take food to my wife in our room. She said if I did and the camera caught it. They will automatic charge $10 to my credit card.

the grounds were nice and the breakfast fine. A spacious place, modest but presentable.

Continental breakfast was excellent. Very happy and when I travel in that area again I would start there again.

This place is run down and dirty. Our first room stunk of mold, the second of mold and cigarettes. Next to a noisy freeway and ballpark. But the breakfast is good - not your usual continental fare. Eggs, potatoes, sausages, etc.
