Great for families

Posted 23-Apr-2015
Pros: Location, pool, grounds
Cons: They already are working on the rooms an updating
Location: lots of walking around
We came here after staying in San Jose for a few days, loved the location right off the freeway but you don't feel like you are, there's no noise. Great place for families of all ages. We had a lower room and it was great just walking out our back patio to the pool. Will be back again!

leisure

Pros: You get what you paid for.
Cons: Let people bring morning compliment food to their room. If one can not get up early
Did not have a good experience. The compliment morning breakfast was great until one of the staff told me I can't take food to my wife in our room. She said if I did and the camera caught it. They will automatic charge $10 to my credit card.

Continental breakfast was excellent. Very happy and when I travel in that area again I would start there again.

This place is run down and dirty. Our first room stunk of mold, the second of mold and cigarettes. Next to a noisy freeway and ballpark. But the breakfast is good - not your usual continental fare. Eggs, potatoes, sausages, etc.

ground beautiful room ok

Posted 29-Mar-2015
Pros: grounds and pool. perfect walking distance to downtown
Cons: rooms could be updated
Location: great location. walk downtown where there are lots of places to eat and shop
The grounds of the hotel are very pretty. The rooms are very basic. Toilet in our room ran all the time. Even with that said, for the money, it was just fine. Walking distance to downtown LG which was great. Great food and ok shopping.

Nice Lodge, close to Down Town!!

Posted 22-Mar-2015
Pros: Hotel is clean.
Cons: Room some what small.
Location: Nice restaurants and small shopping centers near by.
I spent two nights in this lodge recently. The lodge is clean and provides nice continental breakfast. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. The lodge is very close to Los Gatos’s downtown. I walked from the hotel to downtown back and forth for sightseeing and eating out. There are all kinds of nice restaurants and family owned shopping malls to shop around. One thing I need to point out is that the room I was in is somewhat small, overlooking the stadium at the backside. The stadium gets noisy when games or sports are taking place. This disturbs the guest of the lodge. The noise coming out of the Stadium bothered me but, other than that, I enjoyed my stayed at the lodge. Another thing to keep in mind is to avoid making phone calls from your hotel room phone –local or long distance. They charge 0.75 cents per minute for each call. I did not know that. I made few calls for cabs and at the local restaurants. At the checkout time, there was a phone bill waiting for me to be paid. I ended up paying the bill. So, it is better not to use a room phone and instead use your own cell phone. Hope, this will be helpful to the prospective guest of the lodge. Thanks.

Good value and good vibes from a bygone era

Posted 17-Mar-2015
The Los Gatos Lodge is on a spacious property, with the kind of relaxing, outdoor setting you do not get anymore at a budget hotel, especially in the city. The rooms are basic and bare-bones, but I am happy not to pay for decor that I don't need for a clean place to sleep and a bathroom to wash up in. The breakfast is included, and I would have loved to use the outdoor pool if it had been summer.

Hotel close to downtown

Posted 17-Mar-2015
Pros: Proximity to downtown
Cons: Internet access
Location: Restaurants are very close
Good location Internet connection was bad. We had go to lobby in order to maintain Internet consistency.
