“W Hotel San Francisco cost review”
I had only a few options for my stay at San Francisco this last week (due to a late booking) and the W San Francisco Hotel was one of them. It was directly accross from the Moscone Center South where my meetings where held so I chose to stay at that hotel. The cost was extremely high for what I received as benefit of my dollars. I stayed at the Palomar hotel the year before at more than half the cost and received a much higher per dollar benefit than I did at the W. Really, if I'm paying in the multi-hundreds of dollars per day then I truly expect that I shouldn't have to PAY for internet - this is rediculous as well as the cost of room service. I ordered a turkey club and paid over $30 for the sandwich. I will admit that it was a very tasty meal with a lot of food but nevertheless the cost is much higher than justified for what you are recieving. Finally the staff was abrupt with me in the few times that I needed to get help - specifically when I was asking for help over the telephone. The personal interaction with cleaning staff was very good and the interaction during check-in was good but the interaction over the phone was rude. Overall the cost of the W Hotel San Francisco is TOO HIGH where you are paying for nothing additional but just the name "W". I do not recommend this hotel at all. Sincerely yours
“Rough Start”
I was really excited for a well needed girls night out. My inital interaction with the staff was less than pleasant. I was checking into my room and the woman was very confused by the notes in the computer. She said that the payment was never received by expedia and it took her several trips to the back room to speak to the manager to realize this was not the case. I also lost my license and debit card the day before my visit and called the front desk to make the necessary arrangments. I was assured there would not be a problem upon check in. This was not the case. I explained what happened to a very snotty manager who could not care less to help. It look about a half hour to finally resolve the situation. The rest of the stay was fine after the bumpy start. Would not stay there again.
“outstanding customer service & great location”
Service was exceptional, dined in one evening & food was really excellent (as were server's recommendations). Acura drop-off was very convenient. Room was immaculate, location ideal, and high-thread count bedding. Only thing it was missing were slippers for pool/spa.
“Very Hip Hotel.”
Enjoyable experience.
“cant wait to go back”
This was a nice hotel I love the "whenever and what ever line" but the hall way had food in there for like 2 nights and I had to call to have it picked up other then that the stay was great
“deceptioned”
I stayed for 3 nights at this hotel. I found in really bad taste that everything (absolutely everything) besides overnight had a high exta cost, even internet and printing at business center (14 dollars to print a 12 pages b&w presentation, ridiculous! + 7 usd for 15min internet use!) The hotel lobby was being revamped (nobody told it was gonna be, otherwise I would have opted for another hotel). Everytime you needed to contact lobby/concierge personal, there were huge waiting lines. Rooms were small, and, in contrast to other W Hotels which are gorgeous (i.e. Mexico City / San Diego), this was poorly decorated, it had only a cheap buddha figure and the rest was no different than a hyatt. Location is not bad, although it is next door to "gentleman club", so its kinda uncomfortable when you walk-by with your girlfriend. I consider that there are many other, much better options for the same price in the same area such as St Regis (not considering all extras that increase in 50% the rate at W hotel).
“Convenient location but noisy”
Next to the fire station and lots of parties at night.
“My favorite San Francisco Hotel”
The room was large enough for our family of three adults to coexist peacefully in. The view was gorgeous and the vibe of the room was very light and airy and a place we wanted to hang out in. We especially loved the window seat for two. The furnishings were beautiful and the bed was the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in.
“jorge”
Hotel lobby was being remodeled, so entrance was temporary. Aside from that the Hotel was exceptional. Service was escellent, friendly staff and a great location. A couple of blocks from Union Square and access to many restaurants walking distance
“In love with San Francisco and in W hotel!”
It was perfect in every way! the young employees at the front desk as the sign says, they will help you with everything anytime with every possible way. The little things in every corner of the room makes you feel home and very welcomed to stay. I stayed for a week with my 3 members of my family and we had one of our best stays.
