The location was convenient for walking around local eateries and Golden gate park. We were only 15 minutes from most of the main attractions. I like that a family of 5 with teenage children we all fit in one room, 2 queen and a king bed was nice. The shower curtain needed to be replaced otherwise it was decent. Wish there was more parking though. So we made sure to be back by 6pm.

Homeless campers across the street keep the area clean and quiet. They are an asset. Golden Gate Park is one block away, great for walking, running, or just enjoying nature. The bathroom was freezing cold with a wide open window that was stuck open. No microwave, no tissues.

you must understand, it is the location of this property that makes it what it is. the location is the best. when looking out of the room window one is on the ocean and across the street from the park. i could sing more praises but you get the picture. problems, 1. the homeless camp across the street. i will say they were very respectful. i had no problems with them. 2. not really very clean but not really very clean when it was a rodeway inn. (i have stayed at this property many times over the years.) the important things: the bed was great. the heater worked. the water was hot. the microwave worked. i will be staying again. thank you.

The room was pretty ok, but seeing a collection of hair on the shower wall and under my pillow was a bit nasty. And there is a couple RV camping outside making tarp tents and so on, so there was a few screaming outbursts outside that bothered me while I slept. I'd probably stay here again if I can't find anywhere else.

Extremely dirty outside, Trish in hallways. We had bugs inside the room. It was unbearable and unsanitary to stay, so we left and couldn’t get a refund.

This is not the place to book. Homeless encampment. Homeless walking around. Your car is not safe. There’s a locked door in each hotel room and staff doesn’t even know what’s inside. Flicking lights in the bathroom. Non smoking smells like it was smoked in. It’s just really bad. Not safe for the kids to be at. We did check in but didn’t stay. The beds are all dirty. The walls are brown from the smoke. Better to pay more for a better place. Be careful for what you book for. I can’t even get a refund.

Don't ever stay there. I don't think I have enough characters to explain all. We waited painfully all night for morning to get off of there. We heard so much cussing, fighting , yelling, banging. We called the front seat they hung up we were to scared to go out in the dark so we waited till morning. Dirty , broken, disgusting. Homeless encampments along the street. No thermostats in room. We also had the stairs next to us and a constant come and go of loud drunk or high folks.

There was black mold in the shower. Know one ever came to clean the room. There were homeless people living right out the front door. The carpet was black with dirt. The beach across the street was nice but that had nothing to do with the hotel. If I could give less than 1 I would. Not a good place to stay.

The photos on the website, Yelp, or Expedia need to be updated with the hotel’s current status. There are motorhomes parked permanently outside of the hotel. The hallways, stairs are filthy with dirt and goo stains. I stayed in a suite with my family. The room smelled of mold. I must’ve sent to heaven three cockroaches, and my husband sent away two. The toilet seat was hanging on to its last life. The ventilation was non existent. This hotel is a hazard to everyone’s health and life. It’s a surprise how it’s still in business.

This property is terrible, there is a homeless camp right across the street, men were yelling and fighting at the camp. Our room was somewhat clean but very dated, the carpet was old and filthy, the trim was stained and dirty.. no water pressure in shower. Do not patronize this place! It is not safe.. I needed a place to stay because I had a appt at UCSF, and it was close.. I’d rather have stayed further away!!!

Minimal and out-dated, but adequate
We took into consideration that this is a very old, out-dated property in post-COVID SF right on "homeless row": the staff was adequately helpful and friendly; the room was minimalistic, but spaciously adequate for 4 adults and one infant; the bathroom has a "jimmy-rigged" shower curtain, which fell and had to be propped up; lop-sided towel racks positioned too low opposite the commode; and no heat in the room (in a motel located on the Great (windy) Highway! However, this place was adequate to bring my infant grandson and stay under the housekeeping limit of 4 nights. With the price of everything going up (but not necessarily the value), we definitely got what we (did and didn't) paid for!

This hotel was booked for the wrong night. So upon paying directly for the right night and checking in, our room was broken into before we got there. The window didn't have a screen, finger prints from being pulled open and closed and was propped open with the curtain opened. Upon more inspection of the room, we found the bathroom, towels and sink had been used. The intruder also left behind their deoterant.

The location is absolutely fantastic. The neighborhood is adorable and the coffee shop on the corner is super special. The hotel itself is disgusting and the staff is rude. There is no ice available and the front desk kept deactivating our keys everyday even though we had paid for 3 rooms for 3 days. It is sad to see a property falling into such disrepair.

The location is great as it is close to public transport but there are a couple of homeless car parked infront of the hotel, they wont do anything to you but doesnt look clean. One of the staff member is really unhelpful as there was an issue with my room and didnt bother to fix it.
