Our family liked the convenience of the location to Legoland, the local beach, and restaurants. The room was ready for us when we arrived, even when arriving 30 minutes before check-in. The pool was clean and available during our stay which for us is always a great way to start our trip after a long drive. The breakfast item was a pre-packaged pastry and the coffee was available throughout the day. The restaurants nearby were great alternatives for breakfast. The I-5 is right next to the hotel which can be l Ioud at times when near the pool, however, the room we were in was barely noticeable.

The hotel is well maintained, and the room is clean. Morning and evening staff is friendly too. Nothing to complain. However, the room that I got, 403 (if I am not mistaken) is facing the freeway. There is a window looking at the Hwy 5 too. Man, it is noisy. The wall or window is not thick enough, i guess. Sound/noise bounce off from the hotel courtyard to enter the room from the door too. It is pretty bad. In the middle of your sleep, if a Harley Davidson pass by, you WILL know! :-| Will any room not facing the freeway any better? I dunno. Bottom line, if you are a light sleeper, you may want to ask for a room NOT facing the freeway and pray for the best! Other than that, this Day's Inn is decent.

The nearby highway was incredibly noisy, but inside the rooms it was remarkably quiet. The rooms were clean, but the floor showed a little wear. Breakfast service was a small bun sparsely laced with chocolate--though it appeared you could have as many as you wanted. That's it. You need to bring food with you or plan on eating out if you want a real meal. The two staff people we met were friendly and helpful. We had an issue with towels but it was quickly resolved. We felt safe.

Right off the freeway. Very convenient. However, there is traffic noise due to close proximity of freeway. I’d left the closet and bathroom doors opened to block the constant noise. Noise is reduced, but sounded like howling constant wind. I had a double queen. It’s spacious and clean. Looks like recently renovated. A small frig and table with 2 chairs. No breakfast though. It’s coffee, tea, and pastries. That’s not breakfast. Update: DO NOT stay here. They charge an extra $100 that was supposed to be for incidentals. They’ll scan, charge, and make you sign the $100 credit card charge before even giving you the keycard. So it was double the price for the room. What a scam!

I stayed here with my wife and three kids in one of the suites while traveling to Legoland. The suite was clean and it had modern touches that made are stay feel comfortable and cozy. The staff were pleasant and were even willing to give us a 12 pm checkout time at no extra cost. My only slight complaint is that it is was a bit noisy due to the proximity to the freeway. Overall, this is a very good motel option if you have more than 4 guests and need more than 2 beds for your stay.
