One of the most unusual stays I've had. My check in was May 1st -- "May Day," a holiday in Greece -- and the hotel was closed. Happily, I had my laptop with me so I could look up the phone number to gain some assistance. I finally spoke with ... someone ... who gave me the entrance code to the front door. On the desk was a packet with my name on it and a key to a room...
All this notwithstanding, the place is nice, and it's just around the corner from the main street in Old Town Rethimno. It's clean and comfortable, good water pressure, and the wifi was strong. I would not spend a long vacation here, but for a night or two in order to explore Rethimno, it's pretty ideal for the price.
Just so you know: if you book the Kipos, call ahead and ask for the front door entrance code, otherwise you might find yourself wondering, like I did, "How do I get into this place?"
(By the way: I finally met the fellow who runs the place when I was on my way out the door. He's a cheerful fellow!)
