“Great weekend Retreat!”

The Molly Pticher Inn in Red Bank, New Jersey is a great place to stay if you want to get away for a relaxing weekend and enjoy fun shopping and good dining in Red Bank. It also provides good accommodations for the business traveler. The rooms and beds are very comfortable with lots of pillows and fluffy down comforters. The hotel restaurant offers a variety of menu choices and an amazing view of the terrace and waterfront. This is an old style hotel with helpful staff and great service.

“Wonerful Experience”

Enjoyed our stay...the complimentary lite breakfast was wonderful! Would definitely stay there again!

“Basement not conducive to romance”

Although the room was "poolside" you actually have to go down 2 flights of stairs and that is not a good start to a romantic getaway if your spouse gripes about you gettng a room "in the basement." I tried to get wine and fruit platter sent to room, but unless you order this in advance, the hotel staff keeps transferring you around since none of them know how to do this except to order it as an "amenity" when you initially book your room. A nice hotel, and friendly staff. But way overpriced relative to neighboring competitors. And don't bother trying to email them: I had tried to email about waitlisting for a sold-out night, and they never bothered to respond. I am a fan of historic hotels, but I wouldn't return to this one.

Shows at the Count Basie Theatre are reasonably priced for good seats.

Antiques stores in walking distance (but a bit far for elderly walkers).

Dining

Plenty of restaurants, but quality and prices vary greatly. Pazzo was a pleasant surprise, but Bistro was a disappointment.

“Comfortable with nice views and restaurant”

We enjoyed entertaining our extended family at the Molly Pitcher dining room with a plentiful lunch menu in a nice dining room, and the food was delicious both in the afternoon and evening. Our room was maintained daily in a timely and efficient manner. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The view of pool and harbor from our balcony was lovely. If you require a special diet and need to cool or heat items in your room, you will need to talk with someone about what is available for you. These things do not automatically come in every room. The staff was helpful and friendly at all times. We were able to walk to the main streets of Red Bank for shopping and dining without any problem.

Area recommendations

Downtown Red Bank is an interesting place to explore, and in nearby Atlantic Highlands (abt 15 minutes away) you will find fishing excursions, water taxis to NYC, pleasure boat rides, and more shops and restaurants.

“Nice Stay”

Very nice hotel and courteous staff. However, don't count on the free continental breakfast, it's gone in 5 mins. We were pleasantly surprised by the RedBank - Navisink area. Lots of great places to visit, nice scenic drives, restaurants, bars and close to Seabright public beaches.

“Sandie”

What a wonderful hotel! Beautiful room, small but adequate, with great view of the river! Had breakfast in the restaurant and it was reasonably priced and delicious.

Hotel is within walking distance to downtown. Great icecream shop nearby.

“Happy but chilly”

Only complaint is aiar conditioning - either blasting cold air or none at all, regardless of settings. Otherwise, excellent accomodations, and ditto the restaurant.

“Absolutely lovely hotel and setting!”

Great hotel. It was a gorgous hotel. The rooms were small but very clean and nicely decorated. I went for a wedding, and the setting was absolutely beautiful. The staff was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend!

“Very good...”

Very good --- if you need to be in the area of the Molly Pitcher Inn, excellent choice. Great resturants (Basil T's) just across the street as well.

“Just OK”

Rooms are clean and comfortable but out of date. Need improved TV both service and actual units. Hot water was not always available. No lights byu the bed for reading. Clock radio very old. All in all not up to current industry standards. Service from all staf was very good. Note-room attendants are spraying cleaner through armoir onto the TV screen and ruining it.

Nicolas is one of the best restaurants I have every eaten. Cannot say enough great things. Worth the trip to Red Bank
