“Will stay there every time.”

The hotel staff was very obliging with our requests. The breakfast staff kept the area clean and well-stocked. Loved the jacuzzi whirlpool in the room. Very good value for the price we paid.

“Very Decent”

We stayed in other GrandStay location before and this one is just as good. The breakfast lady is the best, she is fast, efficient and seems to care more than other staff. Will definitely recommend GrandStay to other traveller. The one bedroom suite is awesome as it provides more privacy and has two TV and a small kitchen with all the things you need.

“Pleasant, but thin walls.”

Other than thin walls, I found the Grandstay to be a pleasant, and convenient base for exploring the Black Hills, Badlands and environs. Helpful staff, free breakfast, laundry and kitchen facilities. Pool is too small and indoors. I would come back.

“Great Home Base for our Trip!”

My husband & I found the hotel well situated and were very pleased with the following attributes: -Immaculate room. Great housekeeping service. -Warm, accommodating staff. -Full outfitted kitchen with full-size appliances. -Two fine TVs with cable (including HBO!) Free Wi-Fi! Only drawbacks were: -Too small pool. - Breakfast dining room not large enough to accommodate patrons. No place to sit, & food was not replenished quickly enough. It was often bare bones during our week stay. (Very smalls complaints which really didn't interfer with our fabulous stay.) We'll be back! Book in good faith!

Area recommendations

Must visit the Devil's Tower in Wyoming, and "Wall Drug" in SD. Both only an hour away!

Dining

Must visit the "Firehouse Brewing Co." for dinner! Very reasonable, great food & good fun!

“Great place t stay”

Service staff was wonderful. Small maintenace isue cleared immediately. Great location for Black Hills visit. Breakfast was very good. Stayed 3 days, each day had sme variety. One note of caution..only one bathroom for 2 bedroom suite.

“Good place to stay for a while”

We had a great time staying at this hotel. The price was right, and the suite was comfortable. Not large, but more than enough for two. Rapid City was the central location to the Badlands, Custer State Park, Deadwood, and Devils Tower, so staying at Grandstay was perfect. Breakfast was convenient, although be warned: there's not much choice and you get what's there. For those who want other food, an IHOP is almost right next door, and other breakfast places are a 5-10 minute drive away if you don't get lost in the interstate interchanges. The service was excellent, and everyone who worked there were a pleasure to speak to. Don't expect to cook fancy meals though--there's just 2 small heating coils despite a full fridge and dish washer. Still, all we wanted was a hot midnight snack and that was plenty. A good choice, overall.

“Nice quiet place”

Hotel is located in a quiet area of Rapid City, yet not too far away from restaurants and shopping area. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Breakfast is very good for a hotel of this class. Stuff is very friendly and helpful.
