“Foothills is great!”

This is an older hotel, but very clean and nice. The price is great also!

“everything we neededfor an overnight stay, at a good price.”

We were traveling back to Wisconsin after a western road trip and needed a place to stay for a night. We were lucky to find this place located conveniently off the interstate. Nothing fancy, but more than adequate for what we wanted. Thankfully it wasn't a chain. The continental breakfast was nice for someone who wants to get on the road. Good deal.

“Great Hotel at a Great Price”

I decided to stay at the Foothills Inn because my previous experience at this hotel had been so great. I was not dissapointed. Just like before, I was greeted by friendly staff and my room was clean and neat. The continental breakfast left something to be desired (wheat bread, 3 generic cereals, bite-sized muffins, orange juice, milk, and coffee), but you can't really expect that much from a hotel in this price range. Overall, it's a great hotel for anyone looking to travel comfortably while still on a budget.

“Highly reccomendable”

Clean, quite, friendly.Probably, the best accomodation along my trip.Walls made of concrete and double windows prevent to hear any noise coming from the near street.Friendly people at the reception.Wi-fi for free and working very well.Very pleased.

“could find better”

"breakfast" was just toast, muffins and dry cereal. not a lot of seating, small lobby. outdoor pool was very cold, kids would not swim (late July).

“Not impressed at all”

Room had a musty odor. There was a dead cricket on one of the box springs. The shower was like entering a cave. Breakfast in the morning was a loaf of bread and two containers of cereal. Not impressive and was by far the worst of the 4 hotels we stayed at on our trip out west.

“Breakfast is a joke!!”

Hotel was easy to find and was relatively clean. The 'continental' breakfast was toast only. Felt we did not receive the value that we paid.

“Reasonable and convenient”

We based our selection of this hotel on price and convenience as a base for our travels in the Black Hills. The outdoor pool was welcome, but was small and cold. We did not expect much from the breakfast buffet, and were not surprised by the low standard fare. When I asked for some milk in the evening to go with our tea, I was told the fridge was locked except for at breakfast. Nevertheless, despite the drawbacks I expected, the hotel and room was clean, and well placed close to I-90 for access to local attractions.

“Good value”

Very convenient location. The rooms were very spacious and well maintained and the staff was friendly and very helpful.

Area recommendations
We didn't explore much of the city itself since we had limited time and were here to see Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse.

“Not a a bad stop”

Overall a decent place to stay. Good location to major highways and an easy ride to the airport. Room was comfortable and clean, however, the a/c unit was a bit noisy but it did keep the room cool with the outside temps in the mid to high nineties. Would definately consider this as a place to stay next time in Rapid City.
