What a pleasure to drive up the hotel and find it is located across the street from the cathedral and within easy walking distance to restaurants and information centres. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The décor is elegant and felt very special. Highly recommend.

This 5 star hotel is situated in the historical centre of Ragusa at a short distance from Ibla and downtown shopping area. …More
We'had a one night stop in Ragusa on our driving trip through Sicily and very much enjoyed our stay at San Giorgio Palace Hotel. It can be a little difficult to find as you can't drive to the front of the hotel and have to acces it from the Main Street below but there is ample free street parking right outside the entrance to the hotel and its car inaccessibility means you are perched on the hillsides of Ragusa, a lovely Baroque city. The staff is friendly, the room well appointed with the most well equipped bathroom we had in our stay in Italy. They have a wonderful breakfast in a beautiful breakfast room.

La Dimora di Piazza Carmine was a perfect base for our visit to south east Sicily. Located in a little piazza at the eastern end of Ragusa Superiore (the upper town) , it's only a 15 minute walk down (maybe 25 minutes back up) to Ragusa Ibla, via the famous steps. Breakfast was great, with local and homemade food offered.
The reception staff were very friendly and ready to help, and they provided especially helpful when our hire car broke down.
We really enjoyed our stay.
If you're looking for a nice place in the middle of old Ragusa (Ilba), stay here! Super friendly staff, nice comfortable room, and plenty of room to spread out. If you're driving, there is a free parking lot just a few minute walk (up a large flight of stairs, FYI) from the hotel. The hotel will give you helpful directions to walk to their lobby, but let me add one note: The street numbers on Via Ioppolo are kind of confusing. When you think you should have arrived and the street numbers jump past 12 (the address number of the hotel), don't worry...just keep walking. The lobby will be on your left side about 100ft further. Enjoy your stay!
Lovely staff at reception, delightful. Room was small but very comfortable aircon was very good.
Restaurant was excellent, fairly expensive but excellent food and service from a knowlegeable waiter.
Would definitely recommend this hotel, also good location, 100 metres from Tourist info and handily located for a trip down to Ragusa Ibla. Getting the bus back, it stopp[ed around the corner from the Hotel, an excellent choice.
Lovely hotel and great service but some what on the edge of Ragusa. Need a car to get into the city and see the sights and it is a complicated city to navigate!! Would definatly stay here again:the food was fab!! Be prepared to drive to appreciate the city especially Ragusa Ibla!!
This was the best hotel that I ever stayed at. It was beautiful, in perfect taste, had great breakfasts, and stunning views from the garden. Most of all, they assisted me in securing medical help that I needed. This is a gem of a hotel and great value. I would go there again and stay for a month!
Our experience started with a frantic call close to midnight that we were lost over the central mountains in Sicily trying to reach Ragusa from the A19 highway. Rocco who answered the phone guided us and helped us keep calm. We finally arrived after he was gone and Lorenzo did his best to help us feel at home, got us the room we liked and made sure we could go to sleep feeling that our troubles were behind us. We stayed three nights. Salvatore, the General Manager, greeted us the next day and organized our travels meticulously, where to go, how to get there, where to have lunch, etc. Invaluable. The second day my wife who was having some back pain problems had a pretty bad relapse. Salvatore and Rocco went into action, brought in a doctor to the hotel, and after some treatment we were ready to resume our tours.
The hotel is beautiful, relaxing and well run.
