Aberdaron Spar has a butchers shop within, selling local cuts for your barbecue. If you prefer seafood, try the crab cakes from the local fish bar. There is a delightful bakery, with an outdoor seating area as well as a wide variety of takeaway savoury and sweet treats for your day on the beach. There are several top-notch eating places in the village, two pubs and a newsagents/off license. An ice cream parlour and gift shop are just off the beach. Between March and October you can enjoy the Bardsey Island boat trip, the 12 seater leaves from Porth Meudwy, a short drive from Aberdaron. You can expect to spot Seals, Porpoises and a fabulous diversity of seabirds during the journey. You’ll also get to spend 4hrs doing your own this on this magical, mystical Island. A local minibus runs in the summer months, ferrying people from one coastal village to another for a minimal fee, a great way to enjoy the landscape without having to watch the road, it also affords you the option of having a pub lunch and drink at one of the top ten beach bars in the world.
