“great deal, low price and plenty of room”

The room was great. it looks like Super 8 may have purchased from another hotel. I had a kingsize bed and there was plenty of room for a couch with a recliner. the room was almost to spacious. very clean

“Very basic”

This hotel is very inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. The bed was pretty uncomfortable, and we asked for two extra pillows and were given one because they didn't have two extra. Breakfast is a little sad, but included.

“up in the air”

Very very friendly front desk on all shifts. No microwave, no table nor chairs (where some had obviously existed). We did have a fridge which froze the heck out of everything even after adjusting. Anyway...we were there during the crazy nor'easter on the 30th of Oct. Were very happy to have a room for a few days at that time.

“exactly what we needed”

staff was friendly and helpful and pushed our check-out time back to accomodate a very late night.

“Great Value in Poughkeepsie”

The Super 8 on 9 South in Poughkeepsie, NY was a great value for the weekend. We needed a room for Parents Weekend at SUNY New Paltz and while it was not in New Paltz, it was an easy commute. The motel was clean and in good repair, the service was excellent and the price was right for a place to sleep.

We don't really know this part of New York State, and can't make honest recommendations.

“Good for a couple of nights stay”

The hotel desk clerks were very friendly and accommodating which I really appreciated. The hall area smelled of cigarettes, but thankfully the non-smoking room that we received did not smell like cigarettes. The fitted sheets were unbelievably scratchy, but clean so we just pulled back the top sheet and slept on it. Although we had the "do not disturb" sign on the door (hoping to sleep in a bit) the housekeepers still knocked on the door - not too much of an issue. Overall the stay was pleasurable and the hotel completely served its purpose.

Dining
When traveling to the Poughkeepsie, NY area it is a must that you check out Pizzeria Bacio Ristorante near the Vassar campus. Truly some of the absolute best Italian food that we've ever eaten, huge portion sizes (enough for a complete meal the next day), and the service was fantastic.

“Don't Do It....”

The place made me nervous. Staff was non-existent....never a person at the desk. The hallway had an awful odor that I can't even describe, but the room itself was clean (and no bad smell). Glad we were only staying one night. Would NOT stay there again.

“descent hotel”

Everything was ok could have been better. Had to move to another room because toilet stopped up but the workers were very helpful and pleasant. Other vistors in thw hotel were very loud and disrespectful but not a bad hotel!
