“Clean and modern hotel in the Hudson Valley”

We stayed during Hurricane Irene so had plenty of time to look round the hotel! The rooms were clean a spacious and the pool area and gym were small but not crowded. There was a excellent 'business centre' with four terminals. The breakfast was very good with cooked to order omelets. Nearby were several good restaurants for families which catered for a range of tastes within walking distance. Opposite was a large Walmart. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Area recommendations

Handy for the eastern side of the Hudson river near attractions such as Rooservelt's House and Library, the Vanderbilt mansion and the Bridge over the Hudson. Access into New York via the commuter rail was possible, however this was closed due to Hurricane Irene. If you are traveling to these locations US9 is quite slow with lots of traffic lights, but around Poughkeepsie there are lots of restaurants and shops.

“Overall Very Good but needs minor improvement”

Service was great, breakfast was excellent. nice suite with full kitchen and 2 large HD TVs. Staff was very helpful and let me check in early. Few minor things - no ice machines for regular rooms, wifi kept cutting out, breakfast was standing room only at times, and pool was only 4 foot deep (hard to swim). Other than that an enjoyable stay in a safe neighborhood convenient to many restaurants and adjacent to a shopping center, movie theater, and Walmarts. Good value for the price but pay the extra $20. and get a suite.. Will stay there again.

Area recommendations

This area is perfect for everything. Walmart, several restaurants including a great Chinese buffet across the street, movies, retail shops, fast food. Neighborhood is well travelled and safe as well as convenient to I-84.

Dining

If you drive to Hopewell Junction, there is a wonderful French restaurant , Le Chambord, on Rt. 52 just before the Taconic Parkway.

“3 star hotel masquerading as a 4 star”

Great hotel with friendly staff. I felt my room was worthy of a four star hotel. It had beautiful furnishings, including the bed clothes and pillows. Eric, maintenance supervisor, helped me with the computer in the business suite. He was knowledgeable and friendly. I definitely recommend staying there again though I understand it has been bought by Hyatt. I hope the quality stays the same

“Great Stay”

This is a beautiful Hotel with all the amenities. Perfect location, surrounded by lots of restaurants and things to do within walking distance. The people at the front desk are just wonderful. The breakfast is not the usual muffins and donuts, but a wonderful buffet including; fresh fruit, eggs sausage, homefries, French toast, Starbucks coffee, etc. We will definitely be coming back for another stay.

“Clean”

:) 1. Front desk service was helpful and well-versed. 2. Late check-in was available. 3. Free breakfast was nicely functional for travelers. 4. Room was well-planned (fridge) and very nice-looking. 5. Quality of pump soap, etc. was very good. :( 1. Walls were thin - rowdy guests 2 a.m./ noisy staff in morning. 2. Toiletries were available only upon request. Generally a positive stay.
