Is a 5 stars hotel to charge but is not complying with the standards of 5 stars hotel. Maybe a 3 stars in quality of the service. Place view is beautiful and rooms and comfortable. The people in general are great and helpful. The problem for me is lack of good management. Not the same as the other Pestana group hotels. Very disappointed of the hotel. Will never recommend and surprise to see a 4.7 rating in the reviews. Summary. Is a 3 stars hotel with prices of a 5 stars hotel

Wow what a hotel outside the city stunning views of the river amazing pool and hotel employees all so helpful friendly couldn’t do enough. Went slightly out of season so not all facilities such as roof top bar available but didn’t soil the use of the hotel will definitely return and you can walk into Porto so good exercise cab only €8 away from the hustle and bustle of the city allowing you to chill out as well.

We loved the hotel and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a room with a river view which was an unexpected treat. Food was good , particularly the breakfast. The only niggle was the distance from the city but we used Ubers which were fast and reliable.

This is a lovely quiet little hotel on the River Douro. The rooms were comfortable and the hotel restaurant is incredible, both for the breakfast buffet and the dinner options. The rooms are not large, but the balconies open up the rooms quite a bit. The rates were excellent. My only real complaint is that it is not with walking distance of anything, and guests will need to use a taxi or car service to get into Porto proper.

The hotel is impeccable. The staff and food are excellent! We have been traveling throughout Spain and Portugal for the past three weeks and this is the nicest hotel so far! Truly recommend it.

Very very nice property - a short Uber from the Ribeira area, and totally walkable in 1/2 hour or so if you need to stretch your legs. Superb staff at reception, in the restaurant, and bellman. Very good value for money, especially in November.

- lovely hotel with a great history - buffet dinner was nice and with lots of variety. Laura who served us was fantastic and the most welcoming staff member - Nice pool bar and great to have snooker and table football - really lovely touch to send us a post card - comfortable bed and nice room - only issue is that the aircon was not great so the room felt very warm at time

Had the most lovely time here. Hotel was excellent. Beautiful location away from the town but close enough to walk or get an Uber in. The hotel is gorgeous with a lovely view of the river. Absolutely would recommend you stay here

This is a new, quite unique hotel. A refurbished property that used to be a soap factory, it occupies a stunning location along the Douro River. The riverside rooms have panoramic views, and the breakfast and dinner buffets are well done and staged in a dining area with amazing indoor and outdoor views. Terrific place, especially for families.

Hotel is lovely! Beautiful, clean rooms, gorgeous outdoor area and dining outside over the river! The staff was always helpful and accommodating, from welcome drinks to fetching a corkscrew and opening our wine for us because we forgot ours! They went out of their way to make sure our rooms were all near each other and that our stay was perfect! We also loved that the hotel is located outside of the loud and crowded city center. This hotel was very peaceful and relaxing! Felt like we were instantly transported to a calm, beautiful place. Will stay here again!

Outstanding, clean, feel-good hotel
The staff are diligent and caring, the hotel decor stylish, comfortable and luxuriant. It seems every view has a view of the river, and so sunsets are just incredible, but even sunrise presents a new set of colours every day. The spa provided a great service, too.
