Graduation trip
Overall it was okay. When taking a shower you need to hold the faucet for fear of it falling off when turning the shower on. The air conditioner was extremely loud. The beds squeak when you move and are very uncomfortable. Also there was a rooster down the street that woke us between 5 and 5:30 AM every morning. The location was fantastic since it was only 8 houses from my son. I would stay again because of the location.

Overview
The home was clean and the living room furniture had been updated since the pictures. We slept in the king size bed, it was comfortable and had new linens. The kitchen needs some updating, but was adequate. The bathroom was clean but had significant paint peeling off the ceiling and was stocked with one clean bath towel. We found additional towels in the bedroom closet but they were wet/damp as though they were not dried thoroughly after being washed. Thankfully we had a clean beach towel with us. Unfortunately, the home had a very strong, unpleasant odor . It was the worst in the laundry area where you enter the home but permeated the entire home. We stayed the night because we were tired and did not want to find a new place. We left the next day because of the odor but had booked for two nights. We chose this home due to all the positive reviews, so maybe this was just a one off.

It Was Home Away From Home
Had a great stay! We visited for a week, and Jim's place was more than an excellent value. The house was clean and comfortable. The house is in a nice and quiet neighborhood as well. Other than running out of a few provisions, this house was wonderful, and Jim was a great host. At the end of the day, this was a really nice place to come back to.

Had a wonderful time at Jim's place. Loved fishing off the dock. The neighborhood is very quiet. As everyone else has written, furniture is so comfortable and all furniture reclines! The place smelled so clean and Jim is responsive to questions. The place is very reasonably priced. If I go to Port Charlotte again,I would definitely stay at Jim's place again.

Spacious Clean Water View
I really liked this location. It was less than a mile to the grocery store and other fast food and restaurants. It was on a very quiet street and on a dead end street. At the end of the street there's a public dock.. the living room was so spacious you could have company and everyone can sit comfortably. The kitchen was ample and the washer and dryer was a plus. Everything in the house worked great including Wi-Fi, TV, alarm clocks, coffee makers etc. Another plus was that the parking space was covered with a carport which was really important in the 90 to 94° weather that I experienced during my stay. The air conditioner worked perfectly and kept the house nice and cool and with the blinds open there was a ton of natural light which made my stay very pleasant. After all that's what I'm down there for... the sunshine! The hostess was quick to answer any questions and I'm really happy with this home. I definitely would rent it again if I had the opportunity.

Exceeded my expectations
We booked this place last minute and it exceeded our expectations. The place was very clean. The location was great. The waterfront setting and back patio were the highlights. It was well-stocked with everything we needed. The beds are a little outdated and some minor touches, like curtains, would make the bedrooms feel cozier. With that said, our stay overall was a wonderful experience and we would definitely stay again.

Ideal for a little getaway
This property was very clean, comfortable, and in a quiet neighborhood. The neighborhood and home were not new but everything in the inside was what anyone would need. We stayed one night for a wedding close by and it was perfect for us. The kitchen is very well stocked and a lot more room in the house than we anticipated. The checkin information we received from VBRO was outdated but the owner returned our message within minutes so we could get checked in. I asked a lot of questions and he was always willing to answer and responded quickly. I would recommend this house for multiple nights. Jim is a stellar owner.

Nice Accommodations @ Very Reasonable Rate
Our stay was very pleasant, the house was clean, the setting on canal was relaxing/afforded beautiful sunsets and you won’t find a more thoroughly stocked kitchen (even a rolling pin, wax paper, aluminum foil, etc.), bathroom and laundry room! The owner, Jim, was quick to respond to texted questions and has a great sense of humor! We will definitely stay here for any future trips to Port Charlotte.

The neighbor across the street was outside drunk and loud every night and the final straw was the 1 of about 8 huge cockroaches that flew up and landed in the bed when I was sleeping. We left early and moved into a hotel.

Good Transition Place
We were in the process of moving to the area and this was a great location. We were able to check out local eateries, bars as well as get shopping done for our new home. Jim was very accommodating and cordial during our stay. Would recommend this place.

Great location in a quiet neighborhood
The house is close to everything. We spent the day exploring Pine Island and Boca Grande. 10 minutes away is the Fisherman Village for shopping and restaurants. The house was described accurately and a great place for a quick trip.

Great little house
This is a great house to come and stay in. The house has everything you need and some extra. The dock out back is perfect you can put in at the boat ramp down the road and pull right up at the dock out back. We will definitely be staying in this again. And don’t forget about door dash it’s the best sorry we come form a small town and don’t have it so yeah definitely try this out!!!!!!

Great weekend getaway!
We had a great time, was just like the listing. King bed is about ready for update but overall as expected! Much better then a hotel. Check before you shop quite a bit to get your vacation started which was a major plus.

A HOME AWAY FROM HOME!
Jim was very helpful via emails prior to our enjoyable visit. This was my first booking on VRBO & it was SUPER SIMPLY & rewarding. The properties location...quiet neighborhood...comfortable interior design...all inclusions...& basic cleanliness are all welcoming & pleasurable. The carport, canal, dock, beautiful sunsets, frolicking fish, PROLIFIC wildlife---are all "icing on the cake"!!!!! I would recommend this property to family & friends. And, I truly hope to be able to return some day!!! Thank you so much!!

Fantastic 1st experience!
Jim (owner) was super interested in general maintenance of things. Stopped by to measure a window and asked if we saw anything that maybe he didn't 🤗 Home is exactly as photographed...many basics supplied. *including sugar and a few spices. SO look around before making your run to the grocery. SUPER close to a beach....but not the greatest swimming beach tho I think the city is trying to make it better. There is a public pool super close (at the beach)

Wonderful place !
Spent a week here. This property was exactly as advertised. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and convenient. The neighborhood was quiet. There is a dock on the canal in the back yard where my rental boat could be tied up. All in all, I would come back here any time. Highly recommended.

This was a nice little place for a quick getaway. During the day the main room got pretty hot but there was an extra fan to help keep cool. The pick out back was very nice. We tried to fish everyday but no luck.
