“Doesn't live up to Potential”
The Hamption Inn is perfectly located across the street from the Pennsylvania Convention Center. If you are attending or working there, you can't have a more convenient location. The problem is the hotel is poorly maintained, and the hotel staff offer sketchy service at best. Here are the problems I had for the week I stayed there: - Loss of cable service - broken toilet - Shower curtain that is not level so the curtain gathers in the middle (?) - Package that was delivered and not notified for 3 days (actually I went looking for it) - room keys that didn't work - Coffee service in room with 4 decafs and no regular coffee (Twice, even after I complained once.) - My room door didn't close unless you pulled it shut. One evening I returned from work to my room, and the door was not latched. Most of these problems were corrected by maintenance eventually. It was just a little disappointing because my typical Hampton experience if positive.
“fun in the city”
we had such a great time in Philly and the Hampton inn rocks The staff was so nice and friendly special shout out to the women working in the breakfast area These employees made sure we were taking care of and all I have to say is thanks MOM next visit to Philly we will stay at the Hampton Inn infact we are looking up Hampton Inn in other cities as well
“Nice place to stay”
Very nice hotel, clean, room are a good size, breakfast is good, more than you can expect for the money you pay...
“worked out great”
the hotel was better than expected. it was a very nice stay - great value! would definitely stay there again, perfect for kids, centrally located, wonderful service.
“Excellent Value”
If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel in downtown Philadelphia, the Hampton Inn is an excellent choice. It's located near the Convention Center, Chinatown and the Reading Terminal Market. A serviceable breakfast, including both hot and cold items, is included in the rate and in the evening snacks were available for free near the front desk. My good sized room included a king size bed and flat screen TV. Staff was friendly and helpful.
“Exceeded expectations”
The staff was friendly, helpful and highly respectful. In the mornings, I was greeted with a friendly "good morning"! When I left the front dooor, I was asked if they could direct me to where I was going.. When I arrived back to the hotel in the evening, I was greeted by a "good evening"! During breakfast, I was asked if they could get me anything.. I was impressed. It is obvious that these behaviors were not isolated between a couple off employees but as a result of ongoing management training and reinforcement of custormer values and meeting the needs of their custormers. Great job!! Although this is a 3 star hotel , it gives a 5 star experience. You won't get a huge lobby, a parking structure, or fancy foods for breakfast but you will feel important.
“Exceeded Expectations!”
Great Hotel. Exceeded expectations. Similar to higher end hotels. Very nice. I will stay again.
“Nice Weekend Stay”
Location is within a nice walk to the historical sites, shopping and restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel was simple, but fine for a quick bite before heading out . Very friendly staff, nice little pool and work out room. Comfortable beds. Very quiet. Would definitely recommend for weekend getaway.
“Very comfortable stay, very nice staff, but not the best location”
Very comfortable stay, very nice staff, but not the best location
“"lot of noise from the convention center truck loading dock"”
We had a room and the view was on the convention center truck loading dock across the street. The problem was their loading/unloading activities at 5 am that woke us up every day. Altough the room has double glass windows the noise came in through the air conditioning unit under the window.
