“Location, Location, Location”

When I made the reservation, I requested an early check-in, needed to change and go to event by 3pm. I arrived at 11am and my room was ready, guest service clerk very pleasant. Perfect downtown Philadelphia location, parking not included but literally right there, train entrance on the corner. The only negative was the room was not thoroughly cleaned. I would return.

Area recommendations
Walking distance to City Hall, many historic tours of Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross house etc. Didn't participate but carriage rides were available. I went to see a NFL football game, stayed overnight and toured the following day. Great weekend!!

“Not impressed”

Room was nice and clean, confortable bed, but very small and a lot of noise. Could hear the next door room and all the doors shutting off on the floor. A lot of kids, screaming and running in the hall way, pretty much all the time, starting at 6 am! It was a holiday, but still... Ice machine was not working, after a long search to find it, they are not available in every floor. Pool area was nice, but unfortunately, adults can't have a peaceful time. Kids splashing water, running and screaming out of control. They were in jeopardy of their own safety. Hotel management should reinforce their policies better.

Area recommendations
Old city or Society Hill, because it is a better location for services such as restaurants and entertainment. City Hall/Convention Center area it is a good location for a business trip. West Philadelphia is a good location to acces universities and train station.

“Really Nice”

The hotel was lovely, right in the center of Philly. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The space was a little tight...beds,desk,chair etc. The staff was very nice.

“Clean, beautiful, and top notch”

We only stayed over for one night but I will absolutely stay there again. Without a doubt every time I stay in a Double Tree I am super impressed. The room was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The only thing I would have liked would have been a little refrigerator to keep out bottled water and drinks. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.

Philadelphia. The view from our window was incredible.

“Nice place to stay when in Philly”

The Welcome Cookies are a nice touch! The Check-in staff were friendly, and went above and beyond. Would highly recommend!

Area recommendations
South Street (Jim's Steaks (south & 4th) are the best - but be prepared to wait on line) - that's a 20 minute walk each way. Reading Terminal market on 12th & Arch is really cool if you're into that type of thing - that's about a 15 minute walk each way

“great night's sleep”

The hotel was exactly what I wanted. Central downtown location, clean, with very comfortable beds. There were a lot of families which is not my preference. The first room's AC was not working and they quickly moved me into an identical room across the hall (also given free breakfast voucher). I was only staying a short time- the staff was helpful with my late check in AND I loved the the noon check out. I would be happy to stay here again

“Awesome location!”

Loved the Doubletree...we had the city view and it was great! The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable...and the shower was great. Best of all, it's right by a subway for quick trips anywhere. Would love to go back!
