Thomas, you no showed on this reservation. On the 2nd day you were due to be here we reached out to see if you were coming, and you informed us you decided not to come due to the weather. Here is the exact message you sent us- "My fishing trip has been cancelled due to weather. I understand there is no cancellation refund. I have been to your property every other year for the running if the bulls (redfish) in Pensacola bay. I would appreciate some sort of credit for my reschedule or next years trip. I called your reservation desk. Without some sort of accommodation for reschedule I will be taking my business to another property."So, it seems our rating of 1, is due to the fact you missed your fishing trip, decided not to show up, and then expect a full refund.Reviews are meant to be honest representations of your stay, not retaliatory for monetary reasons for something out of our control regarding your stay that are not valid.

The property was nice. The rooms were clean. There was a couple light bulbs burnt out and the a/c had a small issue but otherwise was nice. The bad thing was that this property is apparently seaonsal and we were not told that some of the restuarnts were closed and that there was no where on site to have breakfast includong the continental breakfast that was also closed due to seasonal. The only option was srarbucks for a coffee and bagel. Even starbucks does not make breakfast sandwiches during the "seasonal shutdoen". So no breakfast all week. That should be advertised as when you go to florida you dont plan on seasonal shutdowns.

Thank you for your feedback Darrell as we do appreciate it. The Starbucks in our Market only serves beverages year round. Both restaurants at Portofino are open year round - Coastal and Al Fresco.

Slay property, as my daughter would say!
Perfect location, amazing room with view. It has everything you can ask for. The beaches were pristine, and their multiple pools made for a relaxing experience all around. Will be back!

Ok first the resort very nice but I stay there for 2 days when I check in they give me the room that I book when I went there and I open the door I was surprised that somebody live inside it and there stuff there and the have someone walking inside so I told my wife let’s go I call the office and I told they that y’all give me a room that someone inside it , so they start tell me sorry I told them it’s okay stuff happened so they say thanks and if that was somebody else it happen to him he will give us a problems I say it’s okay ans they give me another room , when I went there I put stuff at the door Bc I was scared that someone open the door on us , so the Second day at 8am in the morning I was sleeping Bc I was tired the night before somebody from the office keeps calling me 3 time so I answer he was hello yes you have a red car park at #67 i told him what no I have black car and I live in building 4 and my parking #129 , I told him what’s wrong with y’all system he was sorry that I woke you up and I hangup, after a Hour at 9am I start hear that someone try open the door so I thought I was dreaming , and I hear someone keeps knocking on the door and try to open it but they can’t Bc I put stuff by the door , so I went by the door and I open it , and it was a room service lady she say oh sorry I thought no bode here they tell me that y’all left I say what no we here she say sorry and I apologize about and left, so the resort nice but I have too problem for the price I pay ,

There are bugs by the pool they made it very uncomfortable and we weren’t able to enjoy the outside because the bugs were so bad. I have over 20 bites on my legs and I wasn’t refunded are accommodated for the inconvenience

With our resort being located on 28 acres of wetlands and natural areas, the presence of pests and wildlife, especially during the spring/summer months, can occur seasonally. Although we are unable to eliminate pests in outdoor areas, we do take precautionary measures to control them by maintaining routine pest control visits and monitoring reported incidents as soon as we’re notified. Your concerns are important to us and have been passed along to our management team. Beautiful property, helpful friendly staff. Rooms were pretty clean, just a few spots on rugs, scratched up tables and bathrooms needed a bit of updating. We rented a room with a queen pull out sofa, which was only a sofa, no bed, so needed a roll away bed. Property was clean, friendly staff, beautiful beaches and pools. Travel was a bit tricky, Uber XL hard to get, but given name of driver who was amazing and mostly available. Overall great experience,would definitely return.

The unit in which we stayed was beautifully appointed and had magnificent views. We have stayed in other units that were poorly stocked and in poor condition. It honestly is a gamble on what you're going to get. Overall the property itself is beautiful with plenty of amenities.

The overall resort property is clean and beautiful. You cannot beat the location on the beach. The pools were clean and there were many to choose from. Everyone was friendly and happy. The ability to rent a condo to share and keep your family and friends together was perfect for us.

While Portofino itself is beautiful, all units are individually owned. We have stayed here several times in different units but this particular unit was in poor condition and poorly managed. It was clean, had excellent views, and excellent amenities with the resort. However, the unit lacked basic cooking utensils (which is why we chose this over a hotel so we could prepare our own meals), had electricity issues (outlets didn't work in either bathroom rendering the blow dryers useless) and was extremely loud (the unit below us was under renovation and a jack hammer was used from 8am until 5pm every. Single. Day. Which set off the fire alarm from construction dust twice prompting everyone to evacuate the building) There were also no batteries in the TV remotes, in every room so we couldn't even borrow batteries from one remote to work another. We tried to call maintenance about the issues but after 3 days we finally found our own maintenance guy, bought a hairdryer, and bought batteries. Needless to say our short vacation would've been better spent and more relaxing had we just stayed home. Again, the resort itself is amazing and other units are wonderful, just don't book THIS one unit or use this rental management company because their is no communication and basic things, like batteries in a remote, are overlooked by their cleaning and inspection teams. Hope this helps someone in the future!

Good: Love the area and love the views both a wave side and a calm side and multiple pools to enjoy. Bad: Two TVs did not work because missing plug and other I am guessing because of batteries. Stereo did not work because looked like power broken. Chair at table lucky caught was unscrewed because would have hurt someone. Ugly: Mold on curtains. Fire alarm btry was going out so went off all night. No communications with maintenance or front desk after hours to fix anything or come fix come morning. Parking places were not explained 1st day so we were not parking in right spot but no one told us until last day.

Almost were okay. One big problem was master bedroom that king bed was so uncomfortable. Mattress was not even so one person moved the other one moved center Who like no sleeping at vacation time 😞👎

The property units need to be updated and our unit was dirty, the bed skirt was filthy. Most of the pillows didn’t have pillow cases on them and we didn’t have any wash cloths. We called upon arrival for some pillow cases and wash cloths that after more calls were finally delivered @ 10pm that night. The property location is beautiful and the amenities were fantastic!

First time guests at this peoperty. My husband and i booked couples massage and didnt get a tour of the spa area. We sat in the lounge which looked like a waiting room at a dr office. The message in the cabana was great. We also booked a pedicure whcih was in a tiny closet! The 1 restaurant that was open all day was very expensive. The beds were very uncomfortable.

Dilapidated Room at Great Resort
Hotel Property was Fantastic but the room was terrible. Everything in it was malfunctioning and VERY outdated. We told front desk & they never sent anyone out to fix. After calling several times and being hung up on we walked down to get help. When asked why the issue wasn’t being fixed the staff at the counter said he wasn’t working there much longer and blew us off.

Everything you want to do is on property, for a price of course but it was a good price for a family of 6, 4 adults 2 kids. The shopping was not walking distance but if you hop into a mini car you could drive to them. Room was outdated with old furniture we thought was going to break.

Nice property but. My check in was late called the front desk cause the hot water wasn’t working. Maintenance came up and the hot water heater was broken. When asked about moving or changing my room “manager had to be called” just to be downgraded to a lower smaller room. Then, going back to the front it was everybody else fault on way things are going the way they are.

Was not impressed by this property. I was There during hurricane sally and they started just leaving updates outside our door so we didn’t know anything unless we left abd I wasnt Leaving bc the weather was bad. They finally started texting updates. They texted the water was going to be turned off at 11pm one night and I immediately went to take a shower and store some water and it was already off. Many people in the actual tower were wearing masks. Very limited food options. Some of it wasn’t their fault bc of hurricane but all in all it was not impressive and expensive for what you get
