Hotel close to centre of Arras.

Posted 16-Dec-2014
Pros: The ground floor decor was nicely done. The bed was very comfortable
Cons: Drawer space. When 2rooms are bought for the same price they should be of equal value.
Location: Plenty of shops just a few steps away. Short walk to the squares and restaurants. The Boves under the square worth a visit
We were a party of 4 and although the booking was in my name for 2 double rooms at the same price, I was given a lesser room with 4ft bed and a single with a view of the roof and very little w\drobe space. The other room overlooked the courtyard and had a king size bed. I.did complain but was told they were full and the receptionist then walked away from me. Breakfast was ok but the 1 staff could not cope with the demand.A good weekend was had but hotel could make more effort.

Charming hotel with character

Posted 12-Dec-2014
Pros: Charm and character
Cons: Exterior in need of redecoration
Location: Market, Boves (underground tunnels),Wellington Quarry, Belfry, Market, architecture, Vimy Ridge
Stayed two nights and very pleased with Arras and accommodation. Very spacious and comfortable superior double room (206) with partial view of Belfry. Hotel car park was very convenient. Walked everywhere, plenty to see and lots of restaurants close to the hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Good location, clean and comfortable

Posted 20-Oct-2014
Pros: Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced
Cons: More staff in restaurant and bar
Location: Saturday market is well worth a couple of hours and the tour of the tunnels beneath the town. Not far to Vimy ridge and other WW1 sights.
Stayed for two nights - a group of 12. We know Arras quite well but it was our first time at the hotel. Convenient for the centre of town and its attractions. Parking was free - although the board in reception indicated a charge of 10 euros. We ate in hotel on first night, three course meal for 26euros was very good but service was ridiculously slow, only two staff seemed to be working the whole restaurant. Ate out after that at very good local restaurants. Decided not to have breakfast at 16euros and took pastries from boulangerie to local bar for coffee.

Chambre très petite à laquelle il faut ajouter différents frais, notamment petit déjeuner, parking. Petit déjeuner correct mais sans plus. Rapport qualité -prix 3 étoiles et non 4

Expensive but limited choice

Posted 14-Jun-2014
Pros: The friendly staff and position
Cons: The hotel needs to be updated
Location: Near the Grande Place and resturants. Very convenient to the battlefields of nth France
The hotel is old but clean - needs updating. Staff were excellent - very helpful, especially Matthew. Position close to the Grande Place therefore very central to resturants.
