Expensive but limited choice

Posted 14-Jun-2014
Pros: The friendly staff and position
Cons: The hotel needs to be updated
Location: Near the Grande Place and resturants. Very convenient to the battlefields of nth France
The hotel is old but clean - needs updating. Staff were excellent - very helpful, especially Matthew. Position close to the Grande Place therefore very central to resturants.

Great dining experience as well

We enjoyed dinner here as well, but thought breakfast was too expensive at 16 euros, so used a bakery close by. Hotel is well located for sights, but a bit hard to find when walking from the station.

Overnight stay

Posted 05-May-2014
Pros: The hotel is charming, rooms tiny, but comfortable, and its well situated to the main square.
Cons: Breakfast is far too expensive for what's available. All self serve. And the dinner was average, and service terrible. The
Location: The main square is walking distance, and is filled with lovely cafes, bake shops, and outside seating. A lovely spot to take in the day
We stayed one night in this hotel, which is charming, and comfortable. Our rooms were not ready upon arrival, so we left our bags and went for a stroll around the Grand Place, which is an easy walk. The proximity to this square is a big plus for this hotel. The hotel is clean, and suitable for a short stay. They need to improve their service in the dining room and consider a better option for breakfast. We actually tried to eat in the main square for breakfast but due to a holiday, nothing was open. This forced us to eat in the hotel. the breakfast is for the most part continental, and they can't even see their way to pouring coffee or tea at the table, we had to help ourselves, and yet they charge 16 Euros??

Very relaxing

Even though in the middle of the town it is a peaceful place and generally road noise is not noticeable. Grand building with lots of character. Not really suited for families as quite formal restaurant. Cobbled courtyard whilst very appealing can be noisy due to cobbles/accoustics and deliveries but you can live with it.

Perfect - outstanding service

I arrived on my motorcycle after midnight, the night porter was most accommodating and I really appreciated the gated secure parking within the hotel four court. Room was very pleasant with a huge four poster bead. Will book again for sure.

Ideal location

Hotel was fine.We were travelling with our pet dog and this may be why we were given a very small room at the back of the hotel. However it was very quiet and fine for an overnight stay.Restaurant very good.We were lucky that there was a car parking space as we had not realised you need to book this when you book your room.

Nice hotel in centre of Arras

Posted 15-Dec-2013
Pros: The building was attractive. The room was nice, but not spectacular.
Cons: Better pillows would help. The bed was comfortable. For British visitors a greater range of UK TV channels would be good.
Location: The location is central, but it is difficult to find without at SatNav.

Charming hotel in central Arras

Posted 02-Sep-2013
Pros: Location, secure parking, clean rooms
Cons: Breakfast was fairly expensive for what it was
Location: Central Arras - easy walking distance to the main squares. Cathedral wasn't open when we were there, didn't try and go to the Musee des Beaux Arts.
Booked as a stopover about an hour from Calais - really pleasant, quiet room, easy walking distance to the main squares. Breakfast was fine, but at an additional cost. Considering returning for a weekend in the Autumn!
