“Not at all good”
The hotel was rated as 3 star but it turned out to be less than 1 star for it's cleanliness, comfort, quality of hotel service, condition of the hotel and room service.
“Good location, not so great rooms.”
When we checked in, the receptionist gave us a twin bedroom when we had booked for double bedroom. When we reached the room, we realized it was impossible to fit 4 people in that room and found out that the receptionist made a mistake and we were transferred to a join bedroom. Size-wise, I have no complains as ours was a double bedroom. The location is good - close to bakeries, laundry, metro station. There was a mediterranean restaurant with very reasonable prices, plus Domino's pizza was one block. It's a very old hotel and maintenance wasn't good. I could feel the spring on my bed while sleeping but didn't care much as I would be very tired after exploring Paris all day. It should be called a 2-star hotel. The staff was friendly and attended to us immediately when we requested iron and replacement of bathroom bulbs. It is good for the price paid.
“Just fine”
As the title suggests, it was just fine nothing to celebrate. Overall fairly clean though the bedding and flooring was old and the internet signal weak. Metro stop about 2 blocks away making everything convenient. Markets a block away.
“Could be better.”
The price is good for few days, the place is calm and easy acess to Paris Metro, less than an hour from Charles de Gaulle, using Roissy Bus and Metro. In my opinion the staff should add more items in breakfast and it´s necessary some improvements in restroom and in the bedrooms features, because these installations have to be renewed.
“Central location”
The hotel is very clean and everything that is promised is provided. Rooms are adequate but very small - There is little room to walk around the beds. Bathroom is adequate but gets a bit messy with the partial shower doors. Location is very central to major attractions (all within 15-20 minute walking distance). Internet is really only available in the lobby and cannot handle more than a few guests using it at once. Be forewarned - breakfast is not included in your room rate. It is however, a great deal. There is enough food that you don't need to eat the same thing every day and there is always plenty of the items they put out.
“Disappointing Hotel”
The first room we were shown to was on the ground floor and had a terrible smell of sewage coming from the bathroom which filled the whole room. The bathroom ceiling paint was peeling and there was a large crack which had been plastered but had re-opened. There was only one hanger in the wardrobe (a small issue compared with the others). Upon returning to the room we found a leak from the bathroom ceiling. To be fair to the hotel staff they moved us immediately. And the second room was much nicer - on the first floor no sewage smell a more modern, clean bathroom - more hangers, extra pillows and extra blankets (which didn't appear in the first room). Important as it was very cold in January! My advice to anyone who chooses to stay here is if you get a bad room ask to move as other parts of the hotel are better.
“A pleasant experience”
We knew the hotel was well-positioned from previous reviews - and this turned out to be the case - with a market and a range of shops, restaurants, etc at the bottom of the street. Such a pleasure to walk through, or stop for a coffee or a meal. Tourism sites within easy walking distance - an hour at most. Pleasant and helpful staff, a large room by inner Parisian standards and free internet - although could not understand why no access in our room. If there is any room for improvement, it would be the lack of foreign TV channels (not even CNN) in a hotel that seemed to have a predominantly foreign clientele.
“Best Deal in Paris! Wont go broke.”
The rooms were a little small, but this is probably the best hotel to stay at to visit Paris. It is really close to the metro, and to Paribas Bank (French Bank of America) The teller explained the metro system to us and told us how to get anywhere. The prices can't be beat. I would always recommend it. Dont get an expensive hotel, there are too many things to see in Paris and most likely you will start site-seeing at 8am and will probably get back to the hotel like around 10pm. You will be very tired to appreciate an expensive hotel.
“Sleep cheap and travel chic”
It's truely a 3 star hotel. The front desk is very polite and speaks English. The rooms are small. The beds are uncomfortable, and the shower doors only cover a quater of the tub. Guest must be out their rooms by 12 pm if they want their rooms cleaned that day. The location makes up for the room. You can walk to Champs Elysse, you can get anywhere in Paris within 10 minuets by taking a short walk through the open street market and catching the Metro. Instead of paying 60 euro for taxi from CDG, spend 12 euro and take RER B, transfer at La chapelle and get off at Villers.
“Villiers Paris- Excellent service for a pretty old hotel”
The service was excellent, the people working the reception were exceedingly polite, especially Anna. They really helped me with the tour development, recommending places to visit and helping me make a map that would make it more convenient for me to see places of interest. The heater in the room was broken, and the room itself was pretty small. It's pretty standard for European hotels, so I'm alright with that. Overall I would recommend the hotel.
