Gorgeous for couples

Romantic setting right under the sacre couer. We upgraded our room on arrival as the one we booked was teeny tiny! Great location nearly at the top of the montmarte steps. Lovely little eateries and bars close by. Staff helpful and pleasant. Would recommend for a romantic getaway.

Nice hotel if red is your coulour

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Not very much, location was good.
Cons: Grading of rooms, £500 plus is not good value for 3 nights B and B
Location: Good eateries,
Booked the hotel as it looked like something different, indeed that it is, the room was so small you could barely walk around the bed, shower was good , a box of love was in the wardrobe for 39 euros ,I can only imagine what was inside the box, the room smelt damp on arrival, mattress was dreadful so hard I was in agony pillows were poor and square instead of oblong, when I mentioned all these things I was told that that was because I'd chosen the cheaper / standard room, breakfast was good, but poor value all round .

Comment from Hotel Management
Dear Sir, First of all we would like to thank you for your feedback, it is always helping us to improve our service. However some of your comment surprise me. We guarantee to all our guest to have their rooms ready at 2 pm, which is check in time. When guest arrive before that time our housekeeping team do his very best to prepare your room as soon as possible. We do sometimes reduce the waiting time so I do apologies that it was not the case for you and that you have to wait until 2 pm to have your room ready. When you made your booking through expedia, you chose to have a classic room which is the first room type that we do propose. In our hotel we also do have Superior rooms, or Deluxe room which are bigger than the room chosen, and with more equipment such as dock for the music or Nespresso machine in the deluxe room. I do again apologies that you did not enjoy your stay with us, If you would like to give us a chance to redeem our services in your eyes it will be a pleasure to welcome you again. Best regards Aurore REYNIER – Front Office Manager

Very nice, small, boutique hotel with great staff

Posted 28-May-2014
Pros: The decor and the friendly staff. Proximity to the metro.
Cons: A small bar fridge in the room would be helpful.
Location: In an ethnic neighborhood near Sacre Coeur. Maybe about 15 minutes walking to the Moulin Rouge. The little train through the Montmartre region.
Hotel was at the end of a one way street, near a couple busy restaurants at the base of a set of stairs leading up to Sacre Coeur Basilica. Five minute walk to the metro station, with some boulangeries along the way. Quite a few ethnic - Algerian, Afghan, etc. restaurants in the area. The room was small but had a surprising amount of storage space. The bathroom could not be smaller. Everything was very clean and tastefully decorated in a modern theme. Very comfortable bed with a lovely duvet. The window opened for fresh air but had no view to speak of. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with reservations, directions, etc. We did not use the breakfast as we prefer to grab a croissant at a boulangerie.

Great location, but...

One couldn't ask for a better location for Montmarte, which I guess explains the price, the hotel is clean, staff professional, and the breakfast excellent. But the "amour" decor is fully over-the-top, the room is so tiny that its hard to squeeze around the bed, the wireless glitchy, all the sundries (including things like shampoo) priced, and they really should inform guests that the breakast costs $15 Euros before they role it out as though its included.

Nice Little Hotel

Posted 09-May-2014
Pros: Excellent staff Good bed Good breakfast Good decoration Very clean Lift
Cons: Our room was only really a single but they had squeezed a good size double bed in to it which made it a bit cramped. They do have larger rooms.
Location: Hotel is close to Sacre Couer A few reasonable restaurants nearby. Hotel is a five minute walk from the Metro
Went for a short break to Paris. The hotel is themed for lovers so a good place to take that special person in your life.

Quirky Hotel

Posted 25-Apr-2014
We had a really fab time. The hotel is small as are the rooms but is probably one of the nicest themed hotels that we have stayed at. All the staff were extremely helpful, especially the concierge whom went to great lengths to inform us were to go and were perhaps not to go. The actual area of Montmartre is buzzing with atmosphere especially in the evening. The hotel is situated right next to Sacre Coeur which is a tourist pull. It is situated within 10 minutes walk of two Metro Stations

A very memorable experience

Posted 10-Apr-2014
Pros: Very close to the Sacré-Cœur and a very friendly staff.
Cons: Heating/cooling in the room was a bit spotty. We could open the window, which worked great. I don't know how well it would have been in summer.
Location: Located just a short walk (and staircase) away from the Sacré-Cœur Basilica and the Place du Tertre, and a moderate walk to the #2 and #4 Metro line.
We had a great time at the Hotel Montmartre Mon Amour - it was very tastefully decorated. The room was excellent, great lighting, and very romantic. The loo was a bit small, but the separate sink/shower room was adaquate. We walked or used the Metro to get around everywhere. This was great, but it did mean that we had 2 roads built on a hill to climb at night to return back to the hotel. A taxi could also get you there, but it was more expensive than what we wanted to spend. Definitely rely closely on the maps and local signs - we got lost several times trying to make our way around the city, or back to the hotel. Within a few days though we got our bearings about us and could get back without issue. Room service/breakfast service looked great, but it was too expensive for us. We opted instead to go to local patisseries. We also tended to stop at a local market on our way back at night to get water/juice/soda, as the hotel didn't have much available that we saw. They did have wine for room service that could be ordered. All of the staff was incredibly friendly. During check-in, we got a great overview of the 18th Arrondisemont (local district), as well as advice about the Metro, and a map of Paris and the Montmartre area.

Romantic getaway

Pros: Decor, cleanliness, staff, location, all brilliant.
Cons: Honestly could not fault this hotel at all.
Location: Five minutes walk to Metro station, then 10 mins into Saint Michael, just the other side of the Seine. Plenty of local restaurants nearby, quiet area
Booked this as a surprise for my partner's birthday. A great hotel, different than the rest, could not fault it at all. Would recommend it, and will stay again.

Romantic boutique hotel in a special location

Posted 23-Feb-2014
Hotel exactly as described in expedia which is great. Small rooms but well designed and romantically decorated. The only negative about our room was that the toilet was is a separate room/box to the basin and shower ( they had to do that to make the most of the space) but it was still a lovely room. The hotel is at the top of a steep street with steps so do keep that in mind if you have mobility problems. Staff are lovely and breakfast was great value, better value than you'd get at a local bistro (bistros charge 8 euro for a croissant juice and coffee, hotel you get a small but lovely buffet including eggs meats, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, juices, chocolate :-)) very nice!
