Romantic Hotel full of Parisian Atmosphere

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Pros: We loved the decor and the whole atmosphere. The complimentary afternoon tea was a nice touch.
Cons: Rather than robes it would have been good to have tea and coffee making facilities in our room.
Location: Located next to some traditional french restaurants and bars. Sacre Coure within 3 minute walk, stroll around Mon Marte village.
This is a beautiful small Hotel perfect for a romantic break. Upon arrival the reception staff were attentive and friendly and very willing to help. We booked a superior room which was spotlessly clean and although had a very small shower room and toilet, the bed was large and extremely comfortable and there was plenty of room to move around. We had a beautiful view over the small town of Monmarte and the surrounding area. It really is a romantic atmosphere and the continental breakfast was the nicest I had ever had (bordering on 5* standards). The Hotel is rich in colour and furnished beautifully and it all looks and feels very sumptuous and seductive.

Romantic

Pros: Free wifi, unique theme, friendly staff, close to cathedral, good surrounding restaurants.
Cons: Bigger rooms, cleaner streets (though not something the hotel can control).
Location: Very close to the Sacre-Coeur basillica, subway very close, nice surrounding restaurants, lots of little shops and bakeries/patisseries nearby.
Staff was friendly, hotel was clean, and free wifi was great. Breakfast I thought was a little overpriced (15e) for what was offered. Standard rooms were a little small, but the theme was unique and charming. Elevator is really too small, expect to use the stairs. Hallways are also small and narrow. I would recommend upgrading to the bigger rooms which also have a coffee maker. Hotel is located beside the Sacre-Coeur basillica which was nice, but Monmartre (and Paris for that matter) is a dirty overall. Surrounding restaurants are nice though.

Romantic location

Pros: Modern style
Great place to stay with close and friendly restaurants. Easy walking distance to Montmartre and metro - but would recommend Chateau Rouge rather than Anvers as the metro stop.

Everything about this hotel was modern, chic, and comfortable. The decor is incredible. I would probably not recommend the hotel to a solo traveler but it is absolutely ideal for a romantic getaway.

Romantic setting right under the sacre couer. We upgraded our room on arrival as the one we booked was teeny tiny! Great location nearly at the top of the montmarte steps. Lovely little eateries and bars close by. Staff helpful and pleasant. Would recommend for a romantic getaway.

Nice hotel if red is your coulour

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: Not very much, location was good.
Cons: Grading of rooms, £500 plus is not good value for 3 nights B and B
Location: Good eateries,
Booked the hotel as it looked like something different, indeed that it is, the room was so small you could barely walk around the bed, shower was good , a box of love was in the wardrobe for 39 euros ,I can only imagine what was inside the box, the room smelt damp on arrival, mattress was dreadful so hard I was in agony pillows were poor and square instead of oblong, when I mentioned all these things I was told that that was because I'd chosen the cheaper / standard room, breakfast was good, but poor value all round .

Dear Madam, First of all I would like to thank you for taking the time to share your experience in our hotel. I do apologies that you did not like to main hotel color. As many boutique hotel we trying to have something more and in our hotel it is the theme of declaration of love. I am sorry that your felt that the classic room that you book was small we do have 3 differents classic room with different disposition, and if you not feeling good in one we could show you the other available. The Love Box in your wardrobe is a romantic game that you could share with your partner, inside you do have for example some massage oil. As I always says all our staff is dedicate to our guest, and if the mattress is to hard or if you do have preferences for other pillows you could call or come to the reception. We always try to find solution to make you stay better. I hope to have the pleasure to welcome you another time in Paris, and please do not hesitate to provide your preferences. Dear Sir, First of all we would like to thank you for your feedback, it is always helping us to improve our service. However some of your comment surprise me. We guarantee to all our guest to have their rooms ready at 2 pm, which is check in time. When guest arrive before that time our housekeeping team do his very best to prepare your room as soon as possible. We do sometimes reduce the waiting time so I do apologies that it was not the case for you and that you have to wait until 2 pm to have your room ready. When you made your booking through expedia, you chose to have a classic room which is the first room type that we do propose. In our hotel we also do have Superior rooms, or Deluxe room which are bigger than the room chosen, and with more equipment such as dock for the music or Nespresso machine in the deluxe room. I do again apologies that you did not enjoy your stay with us, If you would like to give us a chance to redeem our services in your eyes it will be a pleasure to welcome you again. Best regards Aurore REYNIER – Front Office Manager

Romantic Getaway

The Hotel Montmartre Mon Amor is the perfect place to stay when in Paris. The room was beautifully decorated and the food and service is top notch. We especially liked the fact that we were away from the noise of the city while being able to see Paris from higher ground. What a view!

Very nice, small, boutique hotel with great staff

Posted 28-May-2014
Pros: The decor and the friendly staff. Proximity to the metro.
Cons: A small bar fridge in the room would be helpful.
Location: In an ethnic neighborhood near Sacre Coeur. Maybe about 15 minutes walking to the Moulin Rouge. The little train through the Montmartre region.
Hotel was at the end of a one way street, near a couple busy restaurants at the base of a set of stairs leading up to Sacre Coeur Basilica. Five minute walk to the metro station, with some boulangeries along the way. Quite a few ethnic - Algerian, Afghan, etc. restaurants in the area. The room was small but had a surprising amount of storage space. The bathroom could not be smaller. Everything was very clean and tastefully decorated in a modern theme. Very comfortable bed with a lovely duvet. The window opened for fresh air but had no view to speak of. The staff were very friendly and willing to help with reservations, directions, etc. We did not use the breakfast as we prefer to grab a croissant at a boulangerie.

Great location, but...

Posted 22-May-2014
One couldn't ask for a better location for Montmarte, which I guess explains the price, the hotel is clean, staff professional, and the breakfast excellent. But the "amour" decor is fully over-the-top, the room is so tiny that its hard to squeeze around the bed, the wireless glitchy, all the sundries (including things like shampoo) priced, and they really should inform guests that the breakast costs $15 Euros before they role it out as though its included.
