And the fact the hotel had any recognition of my booking which led to me and my partner being left out in Paris on our first night having to search for a place to stay even though the booking was confirmed and paid for 4 months prior to arrival. The guy that works there was very aggressive and rude and they tried to put us in a place across the street that the owner of the hotel owns I believe that was some abandoned room more like a prison if I’m being honest. Muy viejo, nos tocó planta quinta sin ascensor. Mucho ruido temprano. Todo sucio, con moquetas viejas. La habitación de vergüenza, con telas de araña, el baño llevo de moho. No había servicio de habitaciones, ni hacían camas ni limpiaban baño ni recogían papelera. Tuvimos que pedir toallas limpias y hasta papel higiénico. It’s good for tourism because it’s extremely well located (2 blocks from Louvre Museum and subway station - Louvre, and 3 blocks from the train station that connects you directly to CDG or ORY airports - Châtelet Les Halles). The only thing you need after walking and doing tourism all day long is a good bed for sleeping. Bed linen and towels were clean and comfortable. Further, the reception personnel was very kind and handful, specially Mr Faizar. Everything we have asked was promptly attended. Although there’s no breakfast, there are many good restaurants around, less than 1 minute walking, at fair prices and with good food. There is also a Franprix (budget market) 1 block from the hotel. During the winter, having showers should be quite challenging because there is no heater inside the bathroom.
