“DECENT BASIC HOTEL”

TOOK THE EUROSTAR TO GARE DE NORD SRAIGHT UP THE MAIN ROAD RUE DE LAFAYETTE TO THE HOTEL ABOUT FIFTEEN MINUTES WALK TO RUE MAYRON STAFF ALL VERY HELPFUL LIFT BROKE DOWN FOR ONE DAY BUT NOT REALLY A PROBLEM AS WE WERE ONLY ON SECOND FLOOR STAFF WERE VERY APOLOGETIC AND THE LIFT WAS OK FOR THE REST OF THE STAY ALSO CLOSE TO THE METRO WHICH IS ONE OF THE BEST THINGS ABOUT PARIS AS IT IS VERY CHEAP FAST AND ARRIVES EVERY COUPLE OF MINUTESAND YOU CAN GET ABSOLUTELY ANYWHERE FROM ANY LINE THEY ALL SEEM TO INTERCONNECT THE BEST THING TO DO IS NOT HAVE ANY HIGH EXPECTATIONS AND YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED BEDS VERY COMFORTABLE ROOM VERY QUITE PLENTY OF HOT WATER WHAT MORE CAN YOU WANT RESTUARANT JUST ROUND THE CORNER DOES A REALLY CHEAP BREAKFAST AND LUNCH ALSO WALKABLE TO THE SACREUR CUER AND MONTEMART WHICH WAS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PLACES IN PARIS

“Would definitely stay there again - brilliant location”

A great hotel to stay in, really clean, friendly and welcoming. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the rooms were very clean. Very comfortable room perfect for all my needs. And the location was perfect - so easy to walk to monmartre and the opera garnier, as well as metro Cadet right on the doorstep. I would definitely recommend it to others and go there again.

“Very clean, close to the Metro, helpfull front desk personel”

The hotel room was very small, nothing compared to hotels in the US; but, it is Europe! However, the room was very clean (big plus) Additionally, the hotel is located very close to a Metro station only 5 stations away from Louvre and 3 stations away from Galeries Lafayette, very convenient!. A McDonald's very close to the hotel too and two French Bakeries!

excellent service, excellent conditions, excellent location - just perfect for weekend in paris for two foreigners ;) they serve delicious coffe & hot chocolate for breakfast in large jugs for only 2.5 euro/ea. we really enjoyed time spent in this hotel and we gonna stay there everytime when we will be in paris:)

“Very friendly, clean, and convenient ... great value”

I had a great stay here. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and well kept. The breakfast room was bright and cheery with all the standard fare you need to get started. The other guests were a nice pleasant mix of folks ... young couples, older couples, small families, and business people. The location turns out to be very convenient to almost everywhere of interest in Paris. It's just a block away from the Cadet metro station.

“Better than expected”

This was a nice hotel with a great location. Easy access to the metro and both train stations. Staff was helpful and friendly. Only glitch was that staff did not tell us that breakfast was not included and we found that out after we ate,so it was a costly mistake but everything else was better than anticipated.

“good value”

we were quite satisfied with our room. Although quite small it was perfectly clean and quiet. The full bathroom was almost as large as the bedroom and also spotless. The neighborhood has many interesting shops and restaurants and is a short metro ride from most of the major attractions.

“Nice little boutique hotel”

My wife and I spent 4 days at this hotel in December 2004. I took a long shot booking it only through the description and pictures available on Expedia. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived tired after our train trip from London. It's in a quaint non-touristy area of Paris. It's an older 6 story building, but it looks like the rooms have been updated somewhat recently. By European standards the rooms are decent size. We were given a room with 2 single beds pushed together when we first arrived, but they switched us to another with one double bed without any problem. The rooms were clean and the bed was firm, but comfortable. They have a small breakfast buffet available every morning downstairs, but we opted to stop by the local pastry shop (delicious!) and market. There's also a small lounge/bar area downstairs. We saw a few people hanging out there, and the front desk attendant would walk over and serve up drinks whenever someone needed one. It's very close walking distance to a Metro stop which is very handy. And there are a number of neighborhood restaurants within a 4 block radius around the hotel. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone that likes to be money conscious when they travel, but doesn't want to feel like they're sleeping in a hostel.
