Paris stay

Posted 17-Jun-2014
Pros: The location was close to the Metro which was very handy. The breakfasts were good.
Cons: Tea making facilities in the room. A fridge would also be handy.
Location: The area around the hotel was not at all attractive and nothing to do there.
We arrived in Paris early morning and went straight to the hotel. Our room wasn't ready but we were able to put our bags in a storage area. The staff weren't that helpful. We weren't sure where that storage area was but they didn't get up to show us. The room was clean but very small. The single beds were very narrow and the bathroom didn't have room to move. There was a lift to the 3rd floor where our room was but it was tiny and hard to get in and we didn't get any help from the staff who were watching 2 ladies with their luggage struggling.

Small rooms but clean

Posted 05-Jun-2014
Pros: Amazing old elevator (that didn't always stop at the selected floor :-). Near Metro stop. Near a number of restaurants and cafes. Excellent staff.
Cons: Redesign (i.e. gut) to make rooms larger.
Location: Nearby Metro stop makes it very easy to get anywhere in the city.
Clean but very small rooms. For 2 people with a suitcase each, there is almost no room to move. They are ok for 1 person, or maybe 2 people with knapsacks. Bathrooms very tiny - moving in shower almost guarantees hitting faucet control, knees almost hit wall when seated on toilet. Pipes very noisy. Breakfast was very nice but over-priced.

A bit far but very good

I booked the hotel very late and the hotels I wanted were fully booked, so this hotel was almost the only option I had, but to my surprise it was a great choice, better than other hotels better located I stayed before: no external noise great breakfast, easy public transportation. Negative only the noise of doors of the rooms when automatically closing early in the morning or late at night and the elevator that sometimes had his own will and insisted on not obeying you. In the overall is a very nice hotel that I recomend, a positive tradeoff between price and condition.

Cheap and cheerful hotel in a nice location

The hotel was charming although the room itself was nothing special with lights and a sideboard table broken. However, it was a great location for me businesswise and the neighbourhood itself is very nice.

Ideal location.

Good hotel for the price, not a massive amount of choice at breakfast. Close to metro which runs straight into Paris city centre. A lot of restaurants on the high street. Not bad.
