“Would happily stay in again”
This was our first trip to Paris for my wife's birthday and to see the Christmas Markets. The hotel was easy to find and only a few minutes walk south of the Place de Clichy metro station. We stayed in room 66 which was a good size for a city hotel plus lovely and quiet (which we really appreciate when staying away). The room was very clean and made-up daily. Staff were polite and we were offered a glass of champagne on arrival, which we had later. There was also a tea-time buffet which was a great idea. The hotel was within easy walking distance of Monmartre and being keen walkers we walked to the Louvre,Notre Dame etc but there is an easy to use Metro system when you get tired. Overall an excellent value hotel that we would happily recommend to friends and stay in again ourselves.
“Not bad at all”
Very clean and staff generally efficient and friendly, with the exception of 1 hour room service waiting time and a slight error with our final bill (rectified but at the cost of our waiting taxi..!) Breakfast was average. Comfortable room and very nicely fitted, although the two-piece bed was a bit of a pain with the slight a small gap able to be felt.. would've probably just preferred a small bed! However, all in all, we had a great time and I would consider staying again on a future trip.
“Very satisfied Customer”
We stayed this hotel for 3 nights at the end of October 2011, as my colleague recommended us. Hotel welcomed us a glass of champagne each, which was rather expensive champagne, and we enjoyed very much. Hotel also offer afternoon tea from 16:30 every day, but we were eating too full every lunch time that could not tried them unfortunately. This hotel was one of very few hotels which included breakfast. Some people do not mind having no breakfast, but we found much easier to have nice breakfast before we set off. I personally think that it is nice to have breakfast at the hotel because you cannot sit outside having a picnic when it rains, and eating anything is very expensive in Paris. Our room was clean and tidy. All the staff were very kind, nice and friendly. One occasion, we left our flight information in our room on our departure. When we realised that we went back to the hotel, and there it was, cleaning staff found it and kept it at the reception. How kind they were! The hotel was very easy to access from Orly airport too. We took Orly bus to Paris city (Denfert Rochereau), and from there took No. 68 bus to Liege. One way ticket for Orly bus was for EUR 6.90 per person. Which was not only half the price of PER but also did not need to negotiate with stairs and just one change. Overall, we are very happy and satisfied with this hotel.
“Small with good amenities, but could be better located”
The hotel had good amenities (breakfast, mini bar and tea time snack all complimentary) but was not well located near sights and restaurants. While the Montmarte area may not have the best reputation, the hotel is far away from any of the sketchier areas. We felt completely safe, it is on a quiet street next to a police station. It was only a few blocks from two different Metro stations, so convenient for that. Just don't expect a stunning view of Paris. We did have a little difficulty finding good quality restaurants nearby. However, there is a nice quality bakery right around the corner called La Bannette. It seemed the hotel put forth the effort at being a fancy hotel, but some of the effects did not quite hold up upon closer inspection. For example, our king bed was really two twin beds with a joining pad in the middle. They did put chocolates on the pillows on the first and fourth nights. Having breakfast included was important for us, so we didn't have to worry about finding food right off the bat. The breakfast was mediocre, but there was enough food, including cereal, croissants, yogurt, cheese, eggs and some deli type meats. At tea time they set out some pasta salad and couscous, tea (of course) and a chocolate torte. The first day, the torte was fresh, but the next 3 it was soggy. We were grateful for the tea time snack when we discovered that many of the local restaurants closed after lunch until 7 o'clock, when they would reopen for dinner. Overall not bad.
“Small hotel, about 30 rooms only. Good value for money.”
The overall standard is very reasonable. Walking distance to a few places of interest - Moulin Rouge, Sacré Coeur, Place de la Concorde, Trinity, St. Madelaine. Negative: Most staff in the hotel speak only French. The breakfast room is quite small - waiting for a vacant table or eating in the lobby - low tables and chairs - quite uncomfortable.
“Good Location, Small Rooms, But Great Service”
Would definitely recommend this hotel for future travelers. Small rooms but the service was excellent. Great location as well: we were in between L'Opera and Montmartre.
“Very pleasant little hotel”
Paris hotels have always exasperated me - they are either horrible or really expensive or both, mostly on noisy boulevards with stuffy little rooms. Pavillion de Paris is different - the rooms are also small, but very light and mostly quiet. The decor is pleasant and modern, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast room in a nice little conservatory. I've been there three times now and always had a good experience.
“Delightful small hotel”
This hotel is well located not far from the Grands Magasins of Paris, and with easy access to Metro. The staff are amongst the most delightful I have met in Paris anywhere, and were very helpful They had a special on with free champagne and canapes in the evening; the rooms were small but well appointed; ditto the bathroom Highly recommended
“Nordman”
Very quaint and relaxing hotel- safe, clean and with all the conveniences necessary for a relaxing stay after seeing the sights. Close to Metro lines and shopping. We'll be back!
“Très bonne adresse située dans un quartier où il est très difficile de se garer.”
Chambre agréable, mais conception de la douche donnant lieu à chaque fois à des inondations de la salle de bain.
