“Straightforward, convenient, reasonable value - no problems”
We needed a room for a one night stop in Paris en route by train from Yorkshire to Switzerland, convenient to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, and picked this one because it said it was in a quiet street and it had a reasonable-priced vacancy. No great style or character, but convenient, comfortable, clean, friendly reception staff, quiet except for the idiot jabbering on mobile phone at 5am (must have been a quirk of the acoustics, because it seemed a solidly-built place and we didn't hear anything else - room looked onto a light well but that was OK by us). Breakfast seemed a bit pricy but we didn't go for it, just picked up a bottle of fruit juice from convenient latenight local grocery shop on the corner, and then takeaway pastries and coffee on the way to our 8.24am train. Didn't eat locally but there were lots of very cheap and cheerful-looking ethnic places, and a few slightly more up-market.
“Great experience”
The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The location was amazing very close to the metro and there were lots of places to eat. Our room was very clean.
“Not Impressed”
The "welcome" was cold, the room was tiny, the wash basin was partly blocked, the shower curtain rail sloped so the curtain swung open and the floor flooded, the walls were paper-thin - we could hear a guest snoring next door. When we left we were made to feel a nuisance for paying cash for our breakfast which was self-service and over-priced at 11 Euros each.
“Bangkok business man”
they said no twin bed room in this hotel all the room are fully booked. So I said double bed is ok, now he said all the room are fully booked. So he suggested us to go to another hotel which need to walk couple blocks always. So we changed the hotel, the new hotel very small very noise and smelly.
