“Great location next to metro with. RER line stop”
Very nice rooms and great location. RER line for DG airport next to hotel. Many cafes and resturants. Front desk nice and helpful.
“Great location, so-so hotel”
This hotel is in the heart of Paris. We had a triple room and there was plenty of room for us. Yes, the elevator is small but that is typical in Europe. It is very close to the Metro, Notre Dam and the Louvre is walkable. The only issue I had with this hotel is its security. Anyone can enter the building and there are no deadbolt locks in the rooms, no peep holes, and a few times the maids entered without knocking! There is always someone at the front desk and they are friendly. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel so I don't know what it is like. There is some noise from the small street below but it gets quiet after 11 pm.
“Albe Hotel-Surpasses Expectations”
We spent one night in the Albe Hotel. We were met by a pleasant English speaking gentelman who registered us into the hotel. He gave us a map and recommended an excellent restaurant. We got a god deal through Expedia.. Centrally located, the Albe is with in walking distance to major sites. The hote is well-maintained--air conditioning, dual paned windows, and comfortable bedding. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate for 11 Euros. The Able Hotel is a keeper.
“Albe in Latin Qtr”
I was flying through Paris and decided to spend a few days. After sifting through a number of reviews I chose the Albe hotel. I'm so glad I did! The room was comfy - double bed for just me and bathroom with shower. It was centrally located for the limited amount of sight seeing I was doing. My room was non-smoking (although others may be smoking in the hotel). Free Wifi and a simple, but yummy breakfast. The only down-side for me was the neighborhood was loud and busy. The windows are double-glazed to help with sound, but Friday night was exceptionally loud.
“Great Paris weekend hotel”
The hotel Albe was the perfect hotel for a weekend break. Perfectly situated a couple of minutes walk from RER B (direct line to Charles de Gaulle airport) and the metro, the hotel is in the Latin quarter very close to Notre Dame. The reception is open 24/7 with very helpful staff. Our twin room was on the 6th floor with a partial view of the Seine. The room was very comfortable, in excellent condition and spotlessly clean. I was told by Expedia that hotel refurbishment had been recently completed. All rooms overlooked the street which was a little bit noisy but did not disturb us. I will definitely return to the Albe on my next trip to Paris.
“24h Paris”
Great Location! Small Hotel but clean and safe! Loved it for our 24hour stop in Paris. We came early and they let us look at the rooms, the first one they showed us was teeny tiny, the bathroom was almost too small, so we looked at another one at the top floor and it was great. more light, bigger and bathroom with room to move;) Overall very nice experience.
“Very good”
The hotel was ideal for us: perfect location, clean, reasonably new and modern. The room is small so probably not the best place if you are with kids -but otherwise no faults. I would stay again there
“I'd go back just for the service and the surroundings!!!”
This little hotel is located in a very charming area of Paris. The employees in the reception desk are very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and safe. Our room was quite small making it difficult to maneuver our luggage and circulate between it and the furniture. We found the buffet breakfast a little pricey: good quality but few choices. The hotel is just 30 meters from the extremely convenient Parisian subway system that crosses the city in every direction.
“Michael P.”
I would recommend the Hotel Albe to anyone travelling to Paris. It is very centrally located. The St. Michel Metro station is just around the corner and the hotel is within walking distance to most of the main sites in Paris. The hotel staff is very friendly. The rooms are clean. There are hundreds of restaurants to choose from in the area. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but there is a continental breakfast which is very good. Because the hotel is located on a main road, it can be noisy until about 11:00 p.m. when the restaurants close down. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Paris.
“Worth Considering”
PROS: One minute from subway station, close to many attractions, staff is friendly, Room decor is simple but functional, Air-conditioning (cooling) is quiet. Elevator is small but very quick. Room is quiet and not affected by any noise on the street even though we're in a triple room at the street corner). CONS: Very small room but with reasonable space still, noise of continual dripping water in their heating radiator (not good for people who wakes easily), could hear noise of doors of other rooms closing (but other guests are okay they didn't talk loudly nor slam the doors). Also the hotel didn't have a French-to-Canada/USA prong adapter for loan to me for my laptop, as I forgot to bring mine. Lots of eateries nearby so there is no need to book breakfast buffet at the hotel which I think is too expensive compated to restaurants nearby. Lack of hot water kettle/microwave in the room.
