"Uncomfortably warm and loud"
It was a decent place and the clerk was nice, but...there are no fans and the room was HOT! Then, if you open the window the sounds are even more amplified. Fine in a pinch...not long term!

"Great B&B around Palmer Alaska"
My husband and I stayed there for two nights. We loved it. It a small suite, including a small bedroom with a queen bed and a closet, a decent size bathroom, and living room with a small kitchen. The place is decorated with flowers around house, very welcoming, very clean. We felt very cozy and relaxing. Breakfast is placed in the fridge very day, you may heat it up yourself. You can hear the traffic from the highway, but it's not that bad. We did have a little trouble to find it. With assistance from staff on the phone, we got there quickly. Just do a little homework before you get there, don't totally rely on your GPS.

"Nice cabin close to anchorage"
We stayed one night at the cabin. It was very nice! We arrived late but everything was prepared. The room is big enough for 3 of us and our luggages. Our daughter enjoyed the two-layer bed and we all enjoyed the breakfast. Highly recommend it!

"Room was already occupied"
We arrived at 11 p.m. with a reservation, but when opening our room door the chain lock was on & someone asleep in the room. The manager said he had no record of the previous occupant extending their stay or of anyone else checking into it. All other rooms were full. He did check with the manager of another motel a mile away, so we got a room for the night, but it was very disconcerting & unpleasant especially that late after a long day of travel.

"Nice cabin and what a view."
My brother and I stayed at the Knik on our way from nitnilchik to Fairbanks . Was really surprised that it was on a dead-end road. Liked that you could eat on premises and again what a view.

    Pocket Guide: Anchorage Palmer Hotels

Palmer sits on the banks of the Matanuska River, 42 miles northeast of Anchorage. Although primarily a commuter community, the area has an agricultural heritage dating back to the New Deal and the founding of the Matanuska Colony. Palmer is perhaps best known as host to the Alaska State Fair, which is in turn famous for breaking word records in growing vegetables that are truly enormous.
