“Pleasant stay”

Two friends and I stayed at the Dana Point Marina Inn Saturday night while visiting relatives in San Clemente. The hotel was pleasant, the weather was gorgeous, the continental breakfast was adequate. We had no complaints.

“Not satisfied”

The town of Dana Point is cute... The location of the hotel with the only positive comment I can make about my stay. It was the worst 2 nights of sleep I have had in awhile.... the mattress was horrible. I don't usually rate hotels, but I felt so strongly about this, I felt I should rate it. The personnel at the hotel were friendly for the most part. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone :(

“"I would stay there again"”

Much better than I expected for the price. Other hotels in the area were much more expensive. The room was clean with beds made and fresh towels everyday. TV was not the best, there was no microwave, and my next door neighbor kept me awake till very late. I did enjoy the convenience of having several places to eat, and shopping within walking distance. Also the pool and view of the harbor was nice.

“Very Old”

Great location, but hotel room has not been renovated in 30 years. Bathroom, kitchen area (doesn't even have microwave), mattress OLD stuff. No central air, so each room has a/c unit in the wall.

“it's a motel, not a hotel”

extremely dated, unclean and worse than a motel, good location but otherwise quite awful. if you ever stayed at nice hotels you would hate this one.

“suits location”

Hotel is overall clean, neat. Location perfect for harbor & local shops. Could use some upgrading in bathrooms in that tubs are scratched, some faucets leak. Otherwise, staff is accomodating to needs, Daily housekeeping is satisfactory/trustworthy. Free breakfast is limited but satisfactory. Would go back due to location/ease/comfort. Generally quite clientele and staff handles noise complaints quickly. Feeling of security is medium

“Very much needed California Rocks”

Our hotel up -graded or rooms ...wonderful.....great views....Nice weather....smiling workers....never a bad moment in such a wonderful spot.....the rooms were clean and the breakfast was okay.......I would go back and stay in the same hotel and hopefully the same room.....this trip was very much needed....So thanks Expedia for such a great time........................

Dana Point has everything you need for a great trip...Great food, Stores, Rentals, and everyone is always smiling....what else is their........You can ride bikes up and down coastal highway...from one side to the other....love the bike lanes......

“we've been there before and will always go back. it's the best location”

Although the hotel is old they have updated most of the rooms. They are clean and comfortable. The main reason we stay there is the location. It is right on the marina and you are able to walk to stores and restaurants. I always recommend this hotel to friends and family.

“In need of a complete make over”

I've never stayed at a marina hotel before, but if this is what to expect, it will be my last. The room stunk, opening the sliding door to get fresh air, the screen was in a somewhat crumpled state, so I turned on the air-conditioner and the air that came out seem like someone was standing on the outside with a cig blowing smoke into the unit, then when I decided to use the bathroom,,, it had a handycaped railing around the toilet, which seemed to be a little rusty, at that point I was done
