We had a wonderful time spring Skiing, walking distance from Palisades Tahoe. Pool and hot tub. Rooms very rustic and simple, very nice.

Had a great spring skiing week at Palisades Tahoe. The property has some age but mostly maintained well. Our small one bedroom timeshare condo is tight with an odd layout: access from the public balcony hallway at the bedroom side. Two sharing one bed can get by but any need to use the sofa bed would leave no elbow/leg room. The same can be said of the outdoor hot tubs but the vibe was generally cheery with the good spring weather. The staff are helpful and low key.

Overall the stay was great and the booking as advertised. One issue I did run into was less than stellar communication. I was sent a message by the inn thru Expedia asking me to call for check in instructions. When I tried to call the answer provided it went to an answering service. When I didn’t receive a call back by the afternoon I called again, and again was sent to an answering service. The agent at the answering service would not listen and was constantly interrupting or talking over me. It wasn’t until I replied to the message via Expedia that I got a call back and was able to obtain check in instructions. When I called later that evening to let the front desk know we’d be there later than 11 I was told I’d have to call back when I arrived for a code to get the key to our room. Overall communication was very challenging prior to arrival and made everything much more involved than I would have hoped. Once we were checked in the stay went very smoothly. The location was great and the room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Even with the bumpy start I’d likely stay again.

Clean and well maintained. The room had everything we needed for a week ski trip. The front desk and the shuttle drivers are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

An old school resort. It is great. Be aware that the layout can be awkward with the bedroom as you walk in. Then the bathroom. And then the living-room/kitchen/pullout bed. Our kids slept in the kitchen which made it hard to use but it is surprisingly well stocked to cook on a stovetop.

Unit was updated with a bigger fridge and bathroom vanity and the bed was comfortable but not motion transfer reduction. Free shuttle to and from the hill is a 3 min drive so you only wait maybe 5-7 mins for the shuttle. Tuesday afternoon cider was delicious and the prizes were a nice touch as well. Highly recommend this hotel.

Good value for money in this area. The kitchenette was well equipped for such a small unit, everything was clean, hot water was hot. The walk down to the village was easy (in normal footwear), and the shuttle (for when you are in ski boots) ran every 10 min.

A gem! Spacious, comfy condo with all the needed extras (hot tub, clubhouse, free shuttle to the lifts). The decor is a bit dated but that’s part of the charm and history. The staff’s attention to detail and the cleanliness is superb. Highly recommend!

Nicely maintained. Friendly reception. Kitchenette nicely equipped. Sink and WC/shower btw sitting area w sleeper sofa and bedroom allows some privacy. Care shown w details such as plenty of hooks for jackets, bathrobes etc. Small outside balcony. Many units have a view. There's a spot to work or socialize in reception w coffee in am. Grounds are pretty. Pool that's relatively large and !heated! In the winter. In the winter: One jacuzzi that in OUR opinion fits ca. 7ppl, plus 2 more that fit up to 4 each (if you know ea other). Two outdoor grills and a lounge room w kitchen and WC and game room. Only negative is that walls are thin. Neighbor's conversations, children, ski boots are loud. (Therefore a 4 out of 5 in comfort) Continuous Shuttle to easily get to lifts. Or Walk over to food at Olympic village.

The property was older but in clean and maintained condition. Wi-Fi was good not great. Condo was well stocked although the coffee maker was dirty and unusable. Coffee was offered in the lobby. A quiet environment. Restful.

Really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was well set-up, kitchen was well equipped and it was very comfortable. Other than some minor maintenance that could be dealt with it was great. Corridors could do with being made more appealing but that is a minor thing really. Common kitchen area, games areas, and BBQ areas were excellent.

3 of us stayed here in 1 room for here for WSER. Positives: It’s perfectly fine and has everything you need as a runner, and is clean, and well equiped. The price is high but comparatively good compared to neighbouring properties at that time. The sofa bed is pretty good and comfy. Negatives are that it’s dated and the layout is weird! Initially it was my husband and I booked, but if you have any additional guests, which we had in the end with our pacer joining us, the layout is tricky for them as you enter in the bedroom, then walk through the bathroom, and then into the kitchen-lounge where the sofa bed is. If you are asleep, they are stuck in the lounge or have to walk through the bedroom to leave! It is also a little separate from the main village - only about a 10 min walk, but not quite ‘in’ the village to pop out for a coffee for example. It was however totally fine for our needs on the budget (for Olympic Valley!) end of the scale and still a great location for race start.

We had a wonderful stay at Olympic Village Inn during the third week of April, 2023. Our room was spacious, comfortable and quiet. The staff was incredibly friendly from the shuttle bus driver to Palisades Tahoe to the front desk reception to the management. We took advantage of the weekly free ski guide and which was very fun and helpful for getting to know such a huge ski resort. We also enjoyed the wine tasting provided that night where we met some of the other friendly guests staying at the Inn. Would love to return to Palisades Tahoe and the Olympic Village Inn in the future.

I stayed at Olympic Village Inn at the end of April for 2 days of skiing at Palisades Tahoe. First I liked that OVI was a short walkable distance to the ski resort and restaurants located there. Secondly, the unit I stayed in had a kitchenette which made it convenient for cooking breakfast. The unit had a separate living room from the bedroom, split by the bathroom in the middle. It had a nice quiet "homey" feel to it. The resort had a swimming pool and a couple of hot tubs which were nice after a day of skiing. The unit was clean and made for a nice comfortable stay.

No shuttle to the ski resort. Room decor needs updating. TV in the bedroom didn’t work. Couch looked old. Reception area needs updating. Coffee in the reception area was Kcups and a Keurig. Comfortable bed. Sheets and pillows very clean. Pillows were great.
