I spent two nights at S'Astore in the middle of August 2014. Like most of the Costa Smerelda, the hotel is set-up for holiday makers and couples on romantic get-a-ways. The views of the mountains and coast are fantastic! The breakfast room/restaurant has a panoramic view that shouldn't be missed.
I was staying at S'Astore because it was close to where I was having a business meeting. I wasn't surprised that the rooms weren't set-up for business (i.e. no desk) but I was surprised that there was no WiFi signal in the room. WiFi is only provided in the public areas (restaurant, lobby, pool area). The room I had (#3) was pretty basic but clean an functional. It had a nice private deck with two chaise lounges and two wicker chairs. From what I understand, the main portion of the hotel is going to be renovated before next summer.
I took a long walk from the hotel to the Golfo Aranci but this requires a walking on fairly dangerous stretch along the main road. There really isn't anywhere you can walk from the hotel so you'll definitely need a car.
Breakfast is included in the room rate and it's okay. However, the dinner menu is excellent (especially the seafood and the specialty pasta dishes).

"Lovely location with great views of the foothills."
I was really impressed by the modern decor of the hotel as well as the friendly and fun loving staff! The restaurant had an excellent choice of food with some great local dishes and an impressive selection of varied local wines.
The waiters did their job marvellously and are a great credit to the hotel - keep up the good work guys :-) Also, the reception staff, cleaners and hotel porters were very kind and helpful.
The only slight downside is the Wifi isn't very reliable and the bed was a bit hard and the room air con takes a little working out but all in all a great stay in a great hotel!

This boutique hotel offers great accommodations, perfect location for walking to local points of interest and driving out of town, a five-minute (easy) drive to the port to take the ferry, varied breakfast food and very nice, helpful staff. What more could anyone ask for? This hotel offers close, private parking for a small fee. In an historical area, this is amazing. The staff made reservations for us to take a boat trip to the Maddalena islands embarking from a town a short distance from Olbia.

I recently visited with a friend for a 4 night mini break. Just 15 minutes from the airport, this small, intimate hotel has everything you need. Simple, comfortable rooms. Direct access to a private beach, and incredibly helpful and friendly staff. On a short break there is no need to leave the hotel as you can enjoy breakfast al fresco; drinks and snacks throughout the day and a small but excellent evening menu.,there are, apparently, a couple of restaurants within easy walking distance ( we didn't try them!) and we did hire a car to travel around the island one day.. As a room tip, book one in the beach house, otherwise you can ONLY have access to beach sunbeds...in the beach house rooms ( a little more expensive) you can also use the loungers in the lovely garden area. Just a little gem of a hotel.
