The room was clean and beautiful. The room did not have a stall smell that most motels have, the border on the walls was lovely. The restaurant was on the property making it convenient. The staff were pleasant. I will stay there again!

Neil, the man is awesome. Checked us in, tended bar, was our waiter, he did it all. Always smiling and friendly and selling the services and amenities. We felt like we’d made a friend.

We've stayed before. Just a little mid-winter "getaway" close to home. It's a cute place. A little dated, but clean & quiet, and the ground floor rooms are easily accessible for mobility-impaired folks (unless you are in a wheelchair--doorjambs are rsised). Only real issue I have ever encountered: some rooms have softer matresses than others making them less comfortable (I like firm mattresses) & the multi-setting showerheads probably need changing as waterflow is not great. But part of that could be that the showerheads are way too high & it is almost impossible to change to another spray pattern. Botyom line: we will stay again.

Very clean room. Little out dated but comfortable. Staff were all very friendly. Restaurant food was okay. Beer and wine servings were large for the price.

Great place to stay!
I chose this place because of the great reviews and I was not disapointed. The room was very clean, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Ate supper at the restaraunt/bar and the food was large portions and delicious. Wanted to try the Sunday morning buffet but it did not start until 10am.

I am a no frills kind of gal when I travel. I want safety, clean sheets and running water. Fred's Inn is WAY more than this. The on site dining facility was an extra bonus. Checking into the inn was a tad confusing but the staff at the restaurant had me covered. I arrived just in time before the grill closed for the evening. My meal was fantastic, staff were all super nice and the locals are a true gem. My room was perfect for a quick nights sleep. I am very pleased that I picked Fred's Inn for my 1st night's stay in New York State. If/When I ever make it back this establishment will be on my list of places to be a return customer at.

The rooms are a little outdated but it is a good location. The restaurant there has excellent food and good, friendly service. The restaurant fills up and that uses up parking for the inn. Mattress was a little hard but room had everything we needed but could use some modern touches.

Dirty sheets
The room was decent but the sheets were covered in dog hair! Unfortunately I didn’t discover it until I arose in the morning. I was covered in two different lengths of dog hair, which is amazing because no pets are allowed and disgusting because I have to assume they don’t always change the sheets between guests. So disappointed!

There was no check in clerk. Bartender does it. He does not do a very good job. When I canceled the second day of my visit he charged me another $124 instead of deducting it. I was canceling my stay because there was not internet.

I’ve stayed here before and loved it. This time because of wild thunder storms we couldn’t ride our motorcycles but unfortunately they were booked solid. The very pleasant Jen at the desk even offered to drive us to another motel and allow us to leave our bikes. Excellent service, excellent food. Love this place.

I don't often stay in motels for business travel, but Fred's Inn was clean, spacious, and had a wonderful restaurant on property for dinner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will stay again the next time we have business in that area.

Robert, the host, was easy to work with. The room was large and spacious. The mattress was old and had springs coming through. I ended up on the couch. Wi fi is spotty at best. Water pressure in the shower was poor. I was told that the inn is waiting for the delivery of new mattresses. I hope they arrive soon.

I hope Expedia adds quaint, clean and friendly places like this on my search all the time. We booked the jacuzzi room and loved it. We wish we would have stayed longer to try the surf and turf buffet. The best one night travel through location I ever stayed at. It has a resort type feeling. I would recommend this to anyone traveling through the area. I would love to bring my adult children with me next time and book additional rooms together for a little getaway. A big thumbs up! 👍
