Hotel needs refurb

Pros: It was not expensive and parking plentiful and safe
Cons: Refurb
Lovely staff but very basic hotel. Bed uncomfortable Bathroom not well planned, hard to get in shower, shower gel in dispenser over sink, cream wash dispenser fell on me, loo flush in strange place. Carpet had old stains.

Pros: size of the room
Cons: the breakfast was mediocre at best, bacon overcooked, eggs hard, beans dried up.
stayed overnight with grandchildren, room was comfy and of a good size.

Unhelpful staff, terrible bathrooms, no air con

Very disappointed. We had 2 rooms and in both room the air con did not work, the plumbing was broken so that it was impossible to get a working shower and the staff were not helpful at all.

Overnight stay for a concert at Delapre, Northampt

Pros: Staff were great and nothing was to much trouble. Only had breakfast but it was lovely and the decoration of the hotel and room was very pleasant.
Cons: Put the generator on after 12.
Location: Concerts, musical events at Delapre
The hotel was well placed and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was lovely. The only complaint I have is as I was just falling asleep a generator started up not long after 11 and kept me awake for a short while. Overall though I would definitely recommend it as it was a nice hotel :-)

Pros: The restaurant was quite pleasant but both drinks and meals were expensive. One thing stood out above everything else and that was the breakfast. FAB.
Cons: A sign asking guests to be quiet between 10pm and 8am. A supply of wash flannels to purchase. Leaflets regarding local facilities and a map!
Location: As there wasn't information at the hotel, we had no idea what we could do, or what facilities like restaurants, theatres etc., were available.
Staff were very pleasant. Our room was very nice but lacked that extra special touch. We only had one small towel and two medium bath towels, which was fine but there were no extras. Most hotels normally have two towels per person. Air conditioning did not chill and only one window opened, which was restricted, so there was little air able to get in. Unfortunately I left our wash flannels at home and the hotel didn't stock a supply for us to purchase some more, which was a real problem. The TV didn't initially work. Staff were very busy at the time, however, after waiting nearly an hour, my husband took a look at it and managed to get it going. Sadly, our room was above the main entrance and the hotel was very noisy from about 5am.

Disappointing stay

Lots of noise in hotel room with banging bedroom doors throughout the night. Beds very soft. Shower head was broken and toilet didn't flush properly at times. WiFi and breakfast not included unlike the Holiday Inn Express. TV were not working in bedrooms across the hotel. Private function taking place in hotel so restaurant not open, the hotel did try to call the day before, but it was whilst we were travelling and unable to answer phone and the number was withheld so unable to phone them back and they did not call back. We weren't planning to eat in the hotel so not too much of a problem, but they could have tried calling more than once or left a number.

Fantastic service, convenient location for our purpose, tasty breakfast. Only problem was the bed was too soft !
