Good location, easy to find and free parking.

Room was cheap £30 cheap so didn't expect too much. That said same room in the week was £85. Rooms heating was broken but lady on reception sorted that with a electric heater. Didn't eat onsite as the kids couldn't wait until 6pm. Not to the same standard as other holiday inns we've previously stayed in. Interior and bathroom taps were particularly tired in places. Would use again at £30 a night but better could be found if paying a higher price. Happy with our stay, staff were excellent.

Nice and comfortable

Posted 14-Oct-2014
Pros: The location
Cons: Someone to man reception at all times.
Location: don't really know, was a visitor in the town.
My stay was okay, there was a wedding that went long on long into the night and I could hear all the noise from the bar area but then I was on the second floor so was kind of expected. The room was okay, bathroom tap wasn't working properly and the reception didn't pick my call twice in the morning of the next day as I couldn't turn the heating on (thankfully it wasn't that cold). All in all, a good stay...not too bad.

Better elsewhere for the price

Hotel is very tired, rooms are of low standard for a Holiday Inn, bathrooms are old and in poor condition with a damp smell

Staff superb

The hotel seemed expensive at £149. I was dissapointed to be asked for another 12.95 for broadband access. The room was fine but didn't seem worth the money. However, the food was excellent and every member is staff, without exception, was friendly, helpful and even charming. They saved my impression of the hotel.

Disappointed

Posted 28-Sep-2014 on Hotels.com
OK for an overnight stop but very dated and stale rooms. Beds felt old and lumpy. Food in restaurant (indian) was very good. Hotel would be great if they updated the rooms and bathrooms as they were a bit grotty.

Hotel needs refurb

Posted 23-Sep-2014
Pros: It was not expensive and parking plentiful and safe
Cons: Refurb
Lovely staff but very basic hotel. Bed uncomfortable Bathroom not well planned, hard to get in shower, shower gel in dispenser over sink, cream wash dispenser fell on me, loo flush in strange place. Carpet had old stains.
