Just outside the town - next to the Race course and Golf course, 1 mile drive to the beach. Good as a base to explore the town as long as you could drive in or didn't mind a 20-30 min walk. Clean and comfortable - we had a four bed room. Very large bed but actually two beds put together so you can end up sleepin in the gap. Two beds in upstairs balcony - good for our kids (12 and 8) but the stairs were very steep and you had to be v. careful coming down, so wouldn't be good for small children. Swimming pool clean was clean and just big enough to keep the children happy Restaurant in the hotel was good, excellent 17 euro menu.

We normally stay prior to catching the Ouistreham (Caen)/ Portsmouth ferry. This year we stayed for two nights and had a good tour around the D.Day battlefields. The Le Saint Georges survived the onslaught,it is traditional French chateau style,with character,(don't expect modern Ibis style) . Our room was spotless with ensuite, very comfortable bed, wifi etc, with a beautiful view of Sword beach. Lovely garden to the rear with parking. The restaurant is a beautiful area and the food is fabulous with excellent staff.

We booked this hotel as a last night stay in France to get the 8.30 a.m. Ferry. It was within a few 100 yards of the port so could not have been better. We had a pleasant meal in the restaurant. Our room was in the annexe across the road from the hotel so I could not connect to the wifi. Room ok.

Right on the ocean with awesome views. Extremely nice staff! I spent three nights at the hotel with my Dad this past summer, while we toured the Normandy beaches. Extremely convenient location to the main roads that lead you to the beaches. The restaurant is extremely nice, but prepare to pay for the french cuisine. The staff know limited English but were accomodating as we tried our limited French. The rooms are basic and nothing fancy, but considering the price and the views it is well worth it. You also can have a choice of receiving breakfast each day. I recommend it, as it is an awesome traditional European breakfast.

After a week in Paris, 6 days in Provence, it was wonderful to be out of the way in Arromanches. Perfect place away from the hussle and bustle, although the church bells waking us up at 7am were a definate surprise, but depends what you are looking for in a French Inn. We checked in, had the best meal of our trip cooked by our hostess, easily better than the high priced meals we had in Paris, great continenatal breakfast and the checkout and off to the Normandy beaches. I definitely would stay there again, and if I had more time to explore the region, would base out of here. Come back to a wonderful meal in the evenings, clean, tidy, rooms and great staff. Quick breakfast, or hang around and enjoy it before starting a WW II day at the beaches or off to find what the countryside has to show you.

We stayed for one night as a stopover between the ferry and Brittany, and wished we could have stayed longer. The location is ideal for the beach, museum and town centre, with free overnight parking just across the road. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. The stairway to the upper rooms could be an issue for those with large suitcases or mobility problems.

Room had no outside window, just one opening into a corridor. En suite was 1 metre square so you can imagine how big shower was when there was a awsh basin and toilet in it. But it did only cost 40 Euros a night for the double room!
