Norden Holidays from £572

The hotel was pretty closure to terminal 1 - we could see it drom the terminal. We stayed here, arriving by taxi, in advance of an early morning flight the next day. Our room was right next to the lifts on the first floor but we didnt have any noise keeping us awake, other than people in the corridors even earlier than us (but not too loud!). We used the self check in as there was a queue, well it kept telling me it had failed creating the key card (you take one from a stack) so i ended up with 4 of them (i didnt want to return them to the stack in case they worked!) and sure enough, all 4 worked. I went down to the restaurant to see what the food options were as my husband was recovering from stomach surgery so unable to eat a lot of things (id already been over to the terminal where the options were basic!) And the kind waiter gave me the two menus, one for eating in the restaurant, and one was the bar menu which is the room service menu. I was given the option of having it delivered to the room for £5 which i declined, and they called me as soon as it was ready. The soup was piping hot under the cloche, in fact so hot that the butter portion for the bread roll had completely melted! Maybe don't put it there next time ;) The soup was lovely, the pizza was nice (but not quite warm enough, so suspect it was ready before the soup) and i had a portion of chips on the side which was tasty. I got a canned drink out of the machine in the lobby for £2.
