“Good location”
Seaside rooms have great views. Very attentive and helpful staff. Nice rooms. Strange layout but good views from all rooms. Terraces and balconies.
“Niceall you want in”
Freindly well informed staff, good breakfast, all the facilities you need all well maintained and a great location. You get a sea view without the noise of the traffic. Located inbetween the port and the old town, I really liked this Hotel.
“Best view in Nice”
Rooms are comfortable, but small - the real reason to stay here is the view from the many ocean facing rooms and the terrace on top of the hotel. The location is very good - close to the old city, the port, and shopping.
“very good hotel at good location”
we've got a sea view room with nice big terrace. Very nice and quite. walking distance to many attractions.
“Quiet paradise in Nice”
Set into a steep hill overlooking both the sea and the busy beach-side strip below, this hotel rises above the tourist hub-bub. We stayed in a "Superior" room with sea view, and enjoyed a really remarkable view of the sea from our balcony. With a swimming pool, small fitness center, sun roof, jacuzzi, sauna, bar, and free wifi, you could easily spend your vacation on the premises. But you don't have to, because the flower market and old town are literally a few steps away. One downside is that the hotel does not have its own private beach. They offer a modest discount on a spot from Castel Beach, immediately outside the hotel. The public beach is fine, except that the pebbles and direct sun will make you look longingly at people lying on lounge chairs under an umbrella. For the price I paid for the room, I felt like they could perhaps have offered a much steeper discount at Castel. The overall condition of the hotel is quite good, although the furniture felt a little cheap, and the wallpaper was peeling in places; this reminded me that I'm paying for the location more than the premises themselves. One annoyance was that it was surprisingly hard to get towels for the pool, even though they are supposed to be freely available. The free wifi was very reliable in our room. The staff are very courteous and helpful, and offer excellent suggestions for dining and other activities. The location and overall selection of amenities will be the main factors bringing me back here.
“Gorgeous hotel right on the Cote d'Azur!”
Gorgeous hotel, gorgeous location. Rooms cleverly built into the side of a cliff. We had a totally secluded room "garden view" with it's own gate, underneath the restaurant. Nice room layout, bigger than standard European rooms. Beds were pretty hard, however, and I did have a little trouble sleeping on them. Airconditioning worked very well. Being underneath the restaurant, it was a little noisy early in the morning, when the staff was setting up and moving chairs and tables around. The bathroom was big, had a little trouble with the shower backing up and the internet was spotty. Both issues were taken care of the next day with one phone call! The staff were completely awesome, spoke wonderful English, and were helpful and kind. The Cote d'Azur is awesome, nothing bad about it! We spent most of the day at the hotel pool, which was fabulous and relaxing. The poolside service and drinks are ridiculously expensive, would not recommend it if you aren't planning on paying 15 euro per drink. Go into town and have cocktails for a lot less. Other than those few issues, wonderful, wonderful hotel with little hidden spots to relax in, gorgeous view from floor 4 and 6, and great customer service. Would go back again for sure!
“Great Location and Clean”
Perfect location. It was close to the beach, harbor area, markets, shopping and old part of city. We loved that it was close to but at the same time a little secluded from the touristy areas... so we were able to enjoy some peace and quiet while we took in the sea view when we were relaxing in our room. The hotel was very clean and had excellent service. We booked the sea view suite which had a nice size bathroom and bed. Very tiny balcony but we were out and about most of the day and night so it didn't really matter. I would book this hotel again.
“charming and luxurious”
This is a beautifully designed hotel built on a cliff. It is very quiet and elegant. The staff speaks English and is very professional. My stay was longer than scheduled due to a family emergency. The staff was extremely helpful. The decor is very complementary to the culture and architecture of Nice. The design is tasteful and comfortable. The courtyard has a large lemon tree, jasmine vines is beautifully landscaped. My only reservation is with access, which I think is too difficult for anyone with mobility or sight issues. There are many stairs to negotiate, difficult with luggage and for older people. Perfect for a romantic holiday.
“Can't wait to go back”
The room was comfortable, quiet and clean. The staff was very friendly. Make sure you bring an adapter for your electrics. Also the room does not have an iron. The pool area was beautiful and clean with plenty of lounge chairs. You are in walking distance to old Nice (5 minutes) where there are a lot of restaurants, an open market and tiny shops. Loved it. The beach was right across the street from the hotel. The beach is very rocky. I was amazed how people laid on the worn stones but they did. I would definitely stay there again.
“Book Me! Book Me! Book Me! Don't miss this one...”
This is a gem. I wish we could have stayed longer. Perfect setting, perfect location and perfect service. Two blocks to the Cours Saleya, restaurants, the beach, old Nice, the port, and walking distance to the bus and train stations. The view from our balcony was to die for, even in the winter. Book the air and hotel throught Expedia and you get an amazing deal. Book the "transfer" from the airport by emailing the hotel and you get a limo ride to and from the hotel. I agree with others though that their restaurant is overpriced, so take the short walk and try out some fantastic restaurants (breakfast hint: turn left outside and walk around the cape to a little cafe at the port, roughly 2 euros for coffee and pastry). The staff here was amazingly kind and helpful as well. Definitely worth the extra.
