“Good Location without the noise of the NICE night activity”

Good location close to the center and main shops. 10 min walking distance to main nigh activity and restaurants. Breakfast buffet included was convenient to save you money. Beds are a little hard but OK for two or three nights. Valet parking at additional charge but convenient when you return tired to visit the sourroundings Unforgettable trip having the opportunity to visit Monaco, Nice and Cannes. Very recommendable.

Area recommendations

The OLd City, Notre Dame Church including 10:30 Mass on Sunday. The walking street where major restaurants are located. Take a quick view first on the seetseing double deck bus is convenient to select your choices. Do not forget go Monaco and Cannes 25 minutes driving each one

“3 Stars maybe, but more like 2.5”

Sorry, but 4 stars is an overstatement of significant proportion. Robes were provided - great - but not a hook to hang'em. And the closet - not really - so not there either. Small pillows and only 3. The room - unreasonably small - and not well enough finished to have obtained 4 stars. Fancy location - but zero attention to detail in guest rooms. Not a "Nice" experience - I'm not that hard to please but don;'t set me up for 4 and then deliver a 2.5. May not even be the Hotels fault p perhaps some goof at the Travel Ministry rated it wrong creating expectations that were impossible to meet.

“Didnt care for it”

While the location is somewhat central, the surroundings were not the best. The air conditioner in the room was not working properly, while it wasnt working in the lobby at all.

“Great Homebase”

We came to Nice on our vacation. The Ellington was serving our needs very well. We had a " deluxe room" with a balcony. The room was rather large and very comfortable. Bathroom was also sufficiently large. Breakfast was a treat with a very good selection. Best of all are the people at the Ellington. Everyone is very helpful. We would stay here again!!

“Not Impressed”

Did not have a good experience. 1. I don't like my room was right next to the elevator and stairs 2. No air conditioning until end of May. Open the windows but too noisy since my room was facing the main street on the first floor. 3. Asked for an iron and ironing board but never show up 4. Food was not impressed

“Recommandable hotel”

The location of the hotel is good, not in the old center of Nice but walking distance to all nice restaurants and center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pictures of the hotel on the internet and the reality of our room did not match (we stayed in a superior room), which was a dissapointment, the rooms need a renovation (our room at least) and could be arranged to be more comfortable given the price paid.

“Good location, poor quality rooms”

As a location for seeing Nice this hotel is hard to beat and provided you only want a bed for the night then you could enjoy your trip from this hotel. If you like to spend a bit of time in a quality hotel with comfortable surroundings you need to look elsewhere. The rooms are small and in need of work in some areas. The staff are friendly and speak English if your French isn't so good. Personally I'll be looking elsewhere next time.

“No Complaints”

we used Expedias picks and were very satisfied with Hotel Ellington.It was very clean and our room was quite large by european standards.The staff were very pleasant and eager to be helpful .Hotel Ellington is perfectly located , 10 minutes walking to train station ,10 minutes or less to beach and even less to Old Town which is between hotel and beach.We rode the train everyday from Nice to Ventimiglia with all the stops inbetween mostly for seaside dinning. We had a wonderful time and Hotel Ellington helped fulfill this experience.

“Expected more...”

The hotel was so-so. Expected more. Room and bathroom were veeeery small. Location is good, staff is friendly.
