Very well located.This property I had never stayed at. One Thin blanket. Needed comforter. Could hear next room. Very nicely done room. Pesticide smell. Cramped. Need surface space to function. Would not stay again. Bellevue Inn was a much better experience.

Nice but not sure I’d stay again. Ed was comfortable. Shower was tiny. Breakfast decent but served in a basement room which was a bit dark.

The building was old so slanted floors and large gaps between doors and frames was to be expected. That said the room was nice. Bathroom was modern. It was quiet. Could have used another blanket. No dresser or closet. Light from hallway coming through door gaps was distracting when it came time to sleep. No place to sit at 9:00AM for breakfast. Server seem stressed. Our friends had a room that was entered directly from an outside door three feet from the bed like an old motel. Would not have liked that room. Location was good. Overall enjoyable, and a good value. Would stay again.

Cozy and comfy
The hotel fits the vintage aesthetic perfectly and reminds me of my own old home. The bathroom is lovely. The stairs are a bit steep!

We went for an overnight stay to see the mansions and holiday lights. It was a very quaint historical building within walking distance of town. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely go back.

Newport get away.
The Bellevue house was a great little stop on our trip to New England. Perfect walking distance to the shops, restaurants and Marina. Would love to go back.

The hotel is located in a beautifully restored building within walking distance of great restaurants and sites in Newport. The bed was so comfortable we slept late and almost missed the amazing breakfast. We hope to stay there again on our next visit to Newport!

Shame on Hotels.com
Hotels com should be ashamed for the false presentation of the room we got. However, we expressed our disappointment to the hotel and Kim switched our room and made for a wonderful stay. Great place. Book directly with them.

We were in a two bedroom suite. Carpet in living room was dirty, the furniture although comfortable was off putting a bit as it did not match. The sofa and two chairs needed a good vacuum. We found dust, hair elastic, crumbs and debris under cushions when looking for remote for television, coffee table legs very loose and table rocked , kitchen in suite lacked utensils of any kind, had one coffee cup, two dishes and a single sauce pan. There were tiny ants, free Wi-Fi was offered but no access notice posted in room. New air conditioning units were in each of the three rooms but the old window units were still in bedroom and it lent a air of neglect. On a positive note: beds comfortable and linens looked and smelled fresh. Rooms in general need some attention. It had the quaintness and charm of an old inn but was disappointed in condition in general of the room.

Few Days in Newport
Check in office was confusing … hard to find. Room was fairly spacious. AC didn’t work properly. We had it set for 60 and the room only got down to 72. Quite uncomfortable for us for sleeping. It definitely needed to be cleaned as well. Others we talked to said their AC worked well. Shower water pressure was good. Hot water was plentiful. Not enough storage/ shelf space, though. We needed another outlet or extension cord … if we wanted to watch TV, we would have had to unplug the refrigerator. It would have been nice to have instructions on how to use the TV/box. Also, the WIFI password didn’t work. Breakfast was good and more than enough

Staff was great, and the breakfast at the adjoining sister property was very nicely done. But the room (Room 1, King) is musty, the entry door is barely contained within the jamb, the shower stall is mildewed from missing grout joints, and the tv is not functional. I checked to see if the set might just be unplugged, but upon investigating, found extension cords plugged into outlet extenders, etc… if the electrical inspector caught them they would probably be closed due to multiple code violations. I realize this property is probably 200 or more years old and they did the best they could, but when it’s actually unsafe, that negates all the charm. If we were staying more than one night, we would have tried some other property in that magnificent area.
