“Excellent Trip - We will be back”

Just returned from New York, it was amazing. Would definately stay at the Sheraton NY again. Extremely comfortable room on the 42nd floor. Very clean, quiet and facilities were excellent. It was ideal for everything we wanted to see - both for sight seeing and shopping. Fantastic restaurants in locality, great for 5th Avenue shopping. Took the opportunity to see Hamlet with Jude Law which just blew us away. Would highly recommend.

“Satisfied Returning Customer”

We were returning to this Sheraton because we enjoyed our stay last time. We were not disappointed! The location is within walking distance to Central Park, great restaurants, and the Theater District. We will stay here again when we return.

“convenient and comfortable base camp.”

After reading previous reviews, was a little anxious re: room cleanliness / size/ noise mostly. We are well travelled, professional people visiting New York (and America) for the 1st time. The hotel reception check in was speedy and professional. Room on 34th floor opposite lift area proved no problem with lift noise at all, yes you heard them, but not loud. Had a full veiw of Time Sq from window. Dont think you can stay anywhere in NY without hearing outside noise which is constant, but you get used to it - all part of the experience. Hotel staff extremely helpfull and polite. Room size great, think Travelodge, approx same size and similar layout, but with more style. Queen bed huge and REALLY comfortable, as were pillows. Bedding spotless and changed as often as you want. Complementary bath products great, all we used for week, replenished each day. Towels not new, but clean and got you dry. Coffee machine great, no tea all week, if you want tea, take own bags, almost impossible to find there. Didnt eat at hotel so can't comment. Porter warned us not to use phone or mini bar as very expensive, so we didnt. Porter available to get cab and cases into cab on departure. Dont be put off by poor reviews. This hotel is worth its 3.5 rating, I've stayed in worse 4star places. It was great. Oh and there is a wardrobe, and some drawer space, plus an ironing board, iron, and hairdryer in room. Shower great. Would definately go back and would have no problem recommending.

“Very nice location”

This hotel is close to several subway stops if you plan to use the subway. It also has the Grayline Tours bus stop right across the street so it makes it easy to go on the tours. Nice deli across the street.

“"Highly Recommended Hotel"”

Stayed at this hotel 2 years ago with friends and loved it then. Brougt my two daughters to New York for my Birthday and knew we would stay there as well. This place is awesome!!! Clean, friendly, great location (walked to everything). This hotel is without a doube an all out "five star." If I would change anything, I would like to see a "cafe" type restaurant located in the hotel. One that would serve sandwhichs/soup maybe even a litle later in the night for that "late night snack." Although I truly understand why they don't. There are plenty of fine dinning and deli type places very close by. We did check out the floors that were already renovated and I think it's going to be even better when/if I choose to return to New York. I would and have "highly" recommended this hotel to many of my friends and will continue to do so.
