Excellent location, < 1 block to Times Square!

Posted 13-Jan-2015
Pros: Location to Times Square
Cons: Change the paint colour, and improve the lighting in the room
Location: Right on Times Square. Location more than makes up for the dark decor.
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Room very dark and dingy, but clean. Would definately stay again, as location was fabulous. Less than a block to Times Square.

Bring Earplugs!!!

Posted 23-Dec-2014
Walls & doors are paper thin, so if you plan on actually sleeping at this hotel, do yourself a favor and bring some industrial grade earplugs!

Great Location - Dollhouse size room

Posted 01-Dec-2014
Pros: The location is the biggest asset of this hotel - 1/2 block from Times Square, the theatres, and shopping.
Cons: Change furniture that only has legs and a top - to furniture with drawer space for clothing and other traveling necessities.
Location: Location is great. But, I would try one of the other many hotels in this area before I stayed at the Night Hotel again.
Staff very pleasing and friendly. The bar and restaurant was dark and unattractive, We didn't visit because of this. Note: the hotel is dark and gloomy. We had to live and work our clothes out of suitcases because there was no normal furniture with drawer space at all. The only small closet for hanging closes also had a small refrigerator and safe in it. Didn't allow much room for anything else. If you're claustrophobic, don't choose this hotel!

Too short of a stay. Great hotel in the perfect spot. Plenty of places to eat to chose from with much to see and do. Not enough time. Must come back. Staff was excellent and attentive. Wonderful vibe and atmosphere.

Good Tourist Location

Posted 27-Oct-2014
Pros: Great location
Cons: Air conditioners are quite loud and temperamental. Get rid of the shower curtains
Location: Very short walk to Times Square. Lots of shops and restaurants
Very close to Times Square. Rooms are quite small though (even for New York). Nice sushi restaurant in the hotel.

Terrible experience

Posted 20-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
I booked my hotel at one of the their hotels and was told they were overbooked. They said we would need to go to their other hotel on 47th street. Although we found this somewhat inconvenient after a long day we went on our way. At Night on 47th, we were given our room without delay. As we opened the door to our room we surprised to see the bed less than a foot from us. The entire room was about 10x10 and had a very peculiar, musty smell. We did not receive the king size bed we had paid for either. It looked like a full. We went down to front desk to complain and the lady hesitantly moved us to a king citing that the hotel was near full. Once we moved our things, without any assistance, to our new room we became disgruntled when we saw that were two twin size beds and not the king we were promised! Me and my wife were exhausted and this is just unacceptable. I went back to the front desk to explain we were not in a long. The lady at the front desk told me that the room appeared as a king in her computer and that the only thing she can do was to move us back to our original room. I told that was out of the question as we could not bear the smell in that room. I bit my lip and walked back upstairs to our room. A few moments later, once inside our non smelly double twin bed room, we received a knock from the bellboy. He told us they found a king and offered to assist us to our new room. Things started to look up. Our new king size, it was really king this time, smelled normal and we were pleased. After such a long day we were looking forward to a nice shower. Unfortunately, the shower was clogged and the water began to rise to above my ankles. This was extremely disgusting. I did not have the energy to even complain at this point. We went to sleep. In the morning we had asked for late checkout due to a late flight. I had asked for 3pm and was offered 2pm which I gladly accepted. Around 1pm we began to receive numerous calls from the front desk and a couple from the maid service. They kept asking us when we would leave. At around 1:45 we went downstairs to checkout. I was ready to speak with the manager to tell him or her about my experience with their hotel. Instead, I was told I had already been checked out and my card charged by the other hotel that told us that they were overbooked. At that point, I we just laughed and left and swore we would never come to night again. This was a terrible experience. It was inconvenient and lousy. We will not be coming here again.

This Hotel is not what it costs.

Posted 15-Oct-2014 on Hotels.com
When I booked it at HOTELS.COM, I chose it because it had Valet Parking, when I arrived to the Hotel, there was not a valet parking and the block was closed due to a fair, although the Hotel across the street (Hyatt Times square), had the Valet Parking working right in the corner, so you could access the Hotel. The Hotel cost U$350 but the accommodations are to charge U$ 95 or so, a very very little room with a view to the roof, and no space for cloth baggage but a corner, where I did not fit in. When I realized that there was this fair , I called the Hotel and the answer was..."You have to look for a parking on your own...", and I had to drag my things for 6 blocks far...It is probably a good idea to INFORM guests about punctual situations like NO valet Parking, the real size of the room etc... Finally I paid but I DID NOT STAY...I moved to another Hotel a little cheaper, with parking and enough space ...I mean I moved into a HOTEL...I know this is not Hotels.com responsibility, but I book my rooms through this company, so I trust what the page says...now I am having double thoughts.
