"Die stilvolle und gemütliche Einrichtung laden zum Verweilen ein. Die Hütte liegt an einer Wegekreuzung in einer relativ neuen (Ferien)Siedlung mit anderen Häusern, die primär im Winter genutzt werden. Sehr saubere Unterkunft. Vor Ort keine weitere Infrastruktur, nächster Supermarkt in ca. 8 min mit dem Auto erreichbar. Leider waren die GPS-Koordinaten von Novasol falsch. Die Vermieterin war jedoch sehr hilfsbereit und hat uns zum richtigen Ort gelotst."

"If you read various new travel guides you will find nothing good. But that doesn't do Hovden justice, because it was the starting point for many wonderful hikes for us. Our holiday home was excellent with a sauna, which helped us get our muscles functional again. Thanks to the very well equipped kitchen, we were able to cook for ourselves. "Nice clean chalet about 1 hr away from Trolltunga. Rooms were very cramped...no place to put your bags..but bed linen was clean and comfortable. Hall, kitchen and balcony was great. Communication with the management was a bit spotty... Our stay included breakfast but the girl in the attached ski center restaurant said the restaurant was going to be closed for breakfast the next day. So iI messaged the place about it. We heard back the next morning a couple of hours after we go checked out."

"My family spent 4 nights at Hovdestøylen over the Easter long weekend. We had a 3-bedroom unit in a wing next to the main hotel that was modern and well equipped. A cross-country ski trail runs right past the hotel, and the downhill ski centre is about a 5 min drive away. Parking can be a little crowded during the après-ski hours but we always managed to find a place. Nice bar area with large screen TV, fireplace and shuffleboard. Very friendly service in the bar/restaurant and at reception."

"The hotel provides a beautiful view, and the hotel staff were lovely- helpful but not intrusive. When we stayed there we were the only guests we saw, but we still had a full breakfast buffet with many delicious local meats and cheeses. On the not-so-great-side, the hotel looks like it hasn't changed since the 70s. To be honest it's a little ugly, and it's also in the middle of nowhere."
