“Plain but Clean”
An older hotel in a great location, but clean, a friendly, helpful staff, and a great location to explore the Napa Valley.
“Enjoyed our stay”
This hotel was quiet and not overcrowded. Our room was neat and the managers were very accommodating. Bed and pillows were comfortable, an important consideration when we're selecting a hotel to return to.
“Very pleasant stay.”
Comfortable and convenient. Only glitch was one interruption in TV service one night, and maid forgot to replace coffee first night. Otherwise, a most enjoyable stay. Staff were very pleasant and accomodating, would certainly return.
“Great Access”
A bit away from the downtown but great access to wine country. Nice quiet rooms with plenty of space to share a bottle of wine. The hot-tub is terrific after a day of tours and tasting.
“Very Accomadating!”
We were very pleased with our stay at John Muir Inn. We were able to check in right away, and they had all the necessities you need while on vacation, including a large size fridge and even a stove top. We were also happy that they let have an extended check out time. We will definitely go back to John Muir if we are in Napa again!
“Nice motel”
Smaller hotel offers a relaxed stay with frindely staff. A little north of Napa makes it easy to connect to outlying areas. Only drawback is pool and spa are on the freeway side so it gets a lot of traffic noise.
“Great savings for wineries”
The people at this hotel were extremely warm and friendly. The rooms were nice. Nice neighborhood. We were given coupons for breakfast next door - Marie Callendars. . .which was excellent. There was also a nice restaurant within walking distance to have dinner. We were given four or five coupons before visiting the wineries for tastings. They were buy one, get one free. This saved us about $50.00. Overall, a very nice experience at a good price.
“Great Place!”
The motel is very clean and tidy. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It is nice to have a Marie Callendars restaurant in the parking lot of the hotel. The hotel is located on the north end of Napa on Hwy. 29 and is a good location for the wineries. No matter where you stay you will do some driving because of the geography but all the wineries and restaurants are close. Fume' restaurant is literally a block walk and is an amazing place to eat. The only negative thing is that you could hear the freeway from our south facing room but we still got a good nights sleep. We would definately stay here again and the price was very reasonable for the area and being on Memorial Day weekend.
“A good find in Napa”
This hotel is a typical mid-range property that delivers good value for the dollar. The beds were comfortable and amenities were exactly as expected. I recommend this property as a well-situated option on Hwy 29 in Napa. It certainly was convenient for my purposes.
“Definitely Not Napa Style”
Hotel is in dire need of an update by about two decades....good location and convenient to Napa, but low quality bedding means I won't be back.
