“Average Hotel”

Unfortunately the one elevator was broken so we had to take stairs to 4th floor, the staff was helpful to carry our baggage up. Room was small but clean. Good location downtown and near waterfront. We only stayed one night.

Area recommendations

Waterfront offers great long walks on brick pathways. Downtown is also an interesting walk-about.

“Nanaimo, could have done better.”

The hotel in Nanaimo was mediocre. The room was clean but extremely crammed for two adults. The in house movie feature did not work and when we asked the front desk we were told that it was down since yesterday and to try again later because it was being serviced to load new movies. Definitely not true. This was also a Sunday of a long weekend when a number of people were at the hotel. However the restaurant was closed. I don't understand why the hotel would have not anticipated the revenue generated by a full hotel. I do not recommend this hotel. If you are looking for a place to stay in Nanaimo but are on a budget I dont recommend this hotel.

“excellent value”

very good value if spending 3 nights, we up graded to room over looking harbor which i would recommend. Staff extremly helpful all on front desk. meals excelent.

“Great Location in heart of Nanaimo Harbor”

Hotel is in great location down right in the harbor area. Staff were friendly. Only real issue was that elevator wasn't working for two days.
