Not as good as it was rated

Posted 02-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
Coming from a hotel in Kyoto, which we spent less money on than we did on Nagoya Tokyu, it was such a disappointment. The room was so small that there was nothing comfortable about staying in it. The hotel staff gave us no warm feelings at all. The food at the breakfast buffet was gross. The grout around the bathtub was dirty and black. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Perhaps, the only good thing was all the bars and restaurants nearby. But still it was too far from the Nagoya station.

Great location at a good price

Posted 30-May-2014
Pros: Location and staff
Cons: Rooms not especially attractive - although bigger than many I've experienced in Japan
Location: In spite of what you might think the hotel area (Sakae) is the centre of town - not the area around the Shinkansen station which is a mile or two away
Concierge Hideo Nakahara was especially helpful arranging a rental car for me.

I stay here almost every time I visit. Good quality hotel especially given the price.

Great hotel - I'll stay again.

Posted 22-Mar-2014 on Hotels.com
My only issue was that it was not as convenient to my event location or to transportation in general as some of the other hotels on my trip, but I don't think there was anything more convenient. The hotel itself was great. comfortable, clean, all the amenities. I'd have know problem staying here again.

Clean and relatively comfortable hotel

Posted 28-Jan-2014
Pros: Cleanness and location
Cons: Size of bigger rooms at affordable places. More food selection for breakfast at the Business Center Room
Location: Sakae is one the nicest areas of the city, with good restaurants in the area. Minutes away from Nagoya Station
I have been coming to Nagoya Tokyu Hotel for more than 14 years and I keep coming back, as it is reasonably priced and located in a nice area of the city.

a disappointing experience

Posted 13-Apr-2013
Pros: there really weren't wny
Cons: many
Location: fair but not ideal
Arrived to find hotel booking was not as arranged and was given a room with double bed not twin or queen as requested. Room was clearly set up for one person and so we had to request housekeeping to update all ammenities in room to cater for 2 people, this took 3 attempts to get it right! Our booking also included tickets to the castle which did not materialize! Aspects of the room were just downright 'dirty', ie: valance around the bed and mouldy areas around the shower. The breakfast which we choose not to have was very expensive and the range was really not that good. So overall for such a supposed high quality hotel the experience was poor and I certainly would not recommend it .

Excellent in evry respect except for the hard bed

Posted 12-Apr-2013
Pros: Location and all-round quality and ambience.
Cons: the hard bed
Location: a short walk from the subway.
Excellent in every respect, including a very convenient location, except for an uncomfortably hard bed. would recommend to anybody that doesn't mind a harder bed.

Nice hotel but needs improvement

Posted 07-Apr-2013
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: No wifi in the room
Location: Convenient
Nice hotel and great location but no wifi in the room. It gives a bad look of the hotel with people in their pajamas in the lobby for wifi. Rooms are nice but bathroom needs renovation too and bed is quite hard. But I still would recommend it and go back again on my next visit to Nagoya.
