Hôtel plutôt pour évènements et séminaires

Posted 28-Jul-2015
Salle de sport grande et bien fournie. Piscine agréable. Hôtel surtout prévu pour l accueil de congres et séminaires ainsi qu evenementiel ( mariage, anniversaire..). Très mauvaise prise en charge des particuliers. Room service a revoir.

Resort fees not included in price per night.

Posted 26-Jul-2015
Pros: Property.
Cons: Walls were a little thin & I could here people talking next door.
Chaminade Resort is a beautiful property set in hills above Santa Cruz. I did not have time to walk the trails or enjoy the swimming pool or tennis courts but they looked well kept. Although I did not use any resort "amenities" I was still charged $30 a night. These fees should be included in per night prices IMHO.

Pros: Pleasant staff - really great exercise facilities
Cons: The rooms are outdated. The noise from other rooms is very audible - thin floors and walls? The amenities could be better.
This is a good location and a nice change from the beach. ( the hiking in the area is nice)

Near the beaches of Santa Cruz county, it is also a nice spot to relax and get away. Full facilities with restaurant, bar, pool and spa. Also has volleyball court, hiking trails, and kids activities, depending on the day. We stayed here to attend a friend's party- but also added some R&R around that event. Room is big and pleasant. Grounds are nice. Spa was enjoyable. There were a LOT of kids- so good for families. The price is a little high, but that is the nature of the area. It was a very enjoyable experience and I would go again.

Lovely weekend retreat!

Posted 28-Jun-2015
Pros: Stunning and quiet location, hiking, tennis, fitness center, full-service spa, lovely indoor/outdoor location for events.
Cons: Bed was a bit soft. Only one robe provided in the room.
Location: Tennis, hiking, fitness center, and full-service spa on-site. Endless things to do in Santa Cruz!
All hotel personnel were very friendly. We were upgraded at check-in and were asked what location we'd like for our room. We were happy to be located on the first floor looking out at trees and a ravine with a walk-out patio with chairs and a table. Going onto our patio, we were just steps away from the tennis courts, which were great (although I hear they are resurfacing them in July). Very quiet, even though it was a Friday night. Nice place for families and couples alike.

Pros: the grounds were beautiful.
Greatly, lacking in handicap access!!! The common areas, like the hallways and restaurants, were dirty and in need of a good cleaning.

Chaminade - Santa Cruz

Posted 15-Jun-2015
I have stayed at the Chaminade on a few occasions. The hotel is clean and the units are spread over their entire property. The challenge is the woeful lack of available parking spaces. To make the matter worse, the valet service is not consistent and you may drive around the property in vain to find a place to park...possibly a long way from your room. I doubt that I will return again.
