“Service needs improvement”

I made a reservation to stay here for the 1st and last nights of my trip (about 2 an a half weeks apart). On the positive side, this hotel is in a great and central location, close to the Duomo and not far from the train station or Linate airport. It is also modern, clean, and comfortable. The only physical thing wrong with the hotel is that the elevators are tiny and rickety; shaking an awful lot on our way to the 8th floor. The main reason for the "3" rating is that the service could be improved. When we arrived the first night, after 24 hours of traveling, the concierage informed us that there had been a "problem" with our room and sent us to the hotel next door (which was comparable). On the last night before we left (when we actually stayed at Ariston) it seemed like every time I asked the concierage a question I was bothering him (I only had a few!). Overall, not a bad value given the location. I would consider trying to stay somewhere else next time just to make a comparison.

“Good Location, Helpful Service”

Hotel is very well located in Milan, 10 min from Duomo and Galleria and surrounded by non-touristy, great local restaurants. Hard to find on a street map of Milan or GPS. Valentina at the front desk is a real asset, friendly, warm and helpful. Beds were comfortable enough but you can't find a good pillow anywhere in Milan. Otherwise, I highly recommend the Ariston.

“GOOD HOTEL BUT NOT REALLY SPECIAL”

The Ariston hotel is well located, staff helpful to meet your basic needs (except that they did not make the wake up call I asked the day I had to catch an early flight... good thing my phone alarm worked...) Reasonable breakfast. Considering hotel prices in Milan are high, this is a good hotel for the price. Not all rooms are refurbished, mine was ok on 6th floor, friends who stayed on 2nd floor had worse rooms.

The accomadation was clean, comfortable and basic. Although, the room and bathroom were slightly on the small side and no tea/coffee facilities available in the rooms (missed this the most). The continental breakfast was more than adequete, plenty of chice and very fresh. The hotel was situated ver close to the shops and the cathedral and trams. The staff were very helful and friendly.

“GREAT LOCATION”

The hotel has a great location, it is about five blocks from the Duomo, the surrounding neighborhood is excellent for shopping and finding great food. The breakfast buffet is excellent, five star rating! You´ll love it! Everything was great, except the hotel´s front desk staff, because they were rude and not very helpful at the beggining of our trip, as the days were gone they changed, but it shouldn´t be that way, they should always be nice and friendly.

Great location, 5 min away from Duomo, supermarket next by, Tram stop, shopping, cofee shops......everything. Clean hotel, friendly concierge, great breakfast. Small rooms, but for week stay is ok. clean.

“Very good hotel in Milan, Italy”

The hotel was clean and air conditioned. The receptionist was extremely helpful. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were up to U.S. standards.

“if want a convenient location....”

the hotel is no more than about 5 minutes from the Duomo Square either by foot or tram up Milan's equivalent of Oxford Street- see that as a plus or minus as you will,. It is politely and helpfully run by friendly English speaking staff. The breakfast buffet is well above average. Our room (a standard double) was compact but all you wanted was there, albeit that the ample sized bed was a little on the firm side, which might suit some more than others. Overall it worked well for us and I would recommend it.
